Wikiquote no longer allows unsourced quotations, and they are in process of being removed from our pages (see Wikiquote:Limits on quotations); but if you can provide a reliable, precise and verifiable source for any quote on this list please move it to Phillip Guston. --Antiquary 17:45, 8 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • You see, I look at my paintings, speculate about them, they baffle me too. That's all I'm painting for.
  • To paint is always to start at the beginning again.. ..the canvas you are working on modifies the previous one in an unending baffling chain which never seems to finish.

  • Indeed the name is spelled here wrong on Wikiquote: Phillip Guston.

It should be spelled like on Wikipedia: Philip Guston.

Can somebody change this? I think this is also the reason why this Wikiquote page does not show up at all in Google Search, when I search with Guston & quotes That is a pity because the page offers good quality quotes. User:FotoDutch 24-11-2015

How do you change the name of the page? Guston only has one "L" in his first name, and it is spelled correctly throughout the page, but the page itself has two "L"s in the name, so the link from Wikipedia takes an extra step to resolve the error.
