Castillo wasn't really overthrown in a coup as stated.

On December 7th, Pedro Castillo made a 'mensaje a la nación' where he announced he would be dissolving congress and take hold of the judicial system (this was considered as a self-coup attempt by most people). He then fled Palacio de Gobierno (The president's residence and working place) and got caught in the traffic provoked by his message. He was promptly captured by the police and put to trial, where he was sentenced with rebellion and conspiracy, with another 36 months of prison being added earlier this year. 179.1.144.61 19:26, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
