"... involve me and I will learn" edit

Any idea where this popular quote comes from: "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I will learn." It is frequently attributed to Benjamin Franklin, although I can't imagine him using "involve" in this context. I have also seen it attributed to Confucius.
