Talk:John Ruskin
Untitled
editI have been using a quote for many years without knowing to whom it should be attributed. I have just now found several sites which attribute it to John Ruskin. I would like confirmation of this from anyone who knows, and the correct information for the attribution. Here is the quote:
The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Can anyone help with the cite? ______
The Wagner quote is lifted from the comments on the following blog (well worth reading) http://crookedtimber.org/2005/05/05/twilight-of-the-gods/ --Meika 21:51, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Unsourced
editWikiquote no longer allows unsourced quotations, and they are in process of being removed from our pages (see Wikiquote:Limits on quotations); but if you can provide a reliable and precise source for any quote on this list please move it to John Ruskin. --Antiquary 19:20, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- Do not seek pleasure everywhere but always be ready to find it.
- The highest reward for a person's toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.

editWork must always be, and captains of work must always be. But there is a huge difference between commanding the work and taking the profits of it.
