Can someone add the lithobraking comment? I'm having a hard time finding the original.

In the sentence about the Nicoll Pledge, there should also be a remark about the "Nicoll Thread," which is a thread started for the purpose of increasing the on-topic content of a newsgroup.

Footnote style edit
I've moved some of the references into footnotes; I'll do the rest when I get home, and split into "personal mishaps" and "book reviews" sections. Also, Google Groups's searches by message ID are broken at the moment, so I commented out the link to Usenet article <bi5d3u$hjl$1@panix1.panix.com> (2003), as it's broken until I can find the relevant Google Groups page and put in a real ref. grendel|khan 21:34, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
