Talk:I Heart Huckabees
Request for a rewrite
editThis is stupid. the film portrayes many existential plot lines and ideas through light comic. There isnt a siongle quote pertaining the ACTUAL THEME. they all revole around the silly little (not funny) jokes that are amde to make it pass more clearly. It completely misses the point. I opt for a total deletion, if not a complete rewrite. --Diza 22:02, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Why is it stupid? Rocky, Half Baked, and Repo Man all have quote pages (without objection lodged either). Many of the quotes do, in fact, deal directly with ideas from Taoism and Buddhism even though you personally may not agree with the philosophical conclusions (or whatever) of the film. In addition, what is there to rewrite? It's a bunch of quotations. StevenBrown 09:13, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Wow, talk about missing the point!
editI have watched I Heart Huckabees at least 20 times. This is the only film ever made that begins to really look at reality, peels away the layers of fantasy our minds add to reality. I have never been so gratefull to a filmmaker as I am to David O'Russell. A perfect cast, who seems to have really understood what was going on here. A comedy, only in the sense that life is a comedy once you stop taking our stories as reality.
