Edited to remove quotations from colonialists/libertarians who personally benefit from actual existing genocide and deny that their specific ideology has anything to do with it.
Note
editThis is a clarification on the coment made about Engels stated in the Wikipedia article of the author. Trying to present a fair, neutral description of the facts is required in Wikiquote. WQ:NPOV. Rupert Loup 03:40, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- The wikipedia article says that he was criticized by Ivars Ījabs and Robert Grant. If we add clarifications on quotes about people who criticize this person or that, most quotes would have them. Look the quote by Lenin on this page, "We would be deceiving both ourselves and the people if we concealed from the masses the necessity of a desperate, bloody war of extermination, as the immediate task of the coming revolutionary action." Should there be a clarification on this quote, about Lenin's Hanging Order? Or about the massacres committed by his forces and with his consent during the Russian civil war? --2001:8003:59DB:4100:6D23:CD06:337B:3834 03:50, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- He is talking about a specific work of Engels that waw badly translated by him because his bias. This is stated in Wikipedia and it was expressed in a neutral way here per WP:NPOV. You are POV pushing. Rupert Loup 04:28, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- I think the clarification is appropriate and I support it remaining in place. It is hard to argue this when clearly stated in a neutral way that is also undisputed on enwiki. ~riley (talk) 21:52, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
