It should be noted "all creatures great and small," which is arguably the most familiar single passage from "All Things Bright and Beautiful," is not original to Alexander. For example, from Spencer's Faerie Queene (published in 1590), Book II, Canto VII:

 Like an huge Gyant of the Titans race,
 That made him scorne all creatures great and small,
 And with his pride all others powre deface:
 More fit amongst blacke fiendes, then men to haue his place.
