Proposed merge

edit

This article should be merged to articles on the books in which the character appears. See Wikiquote:Fictional characters and the Village Pump discussion that instigated the guideline. ~ Ningauble 16:14, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

It should not be moved, because these are just quotes that he said, not the entire series, but that is one opinion...—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.67.24.61 (talk) 18:52, 12 April 2011

I do not believe it should be moved. I like having Dumbledore's quotes separate here=)—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.74.192.85 (talk) 04:35, 16 June 2011

I think the sheer magnitude of Dumbledore's wisdom warrants a page to itself. I also think that this page is way too brief, and intend to expand it at my earliest possible convenience.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.52.143.207 (talk) 06:55, 27 June 2011

Good lord, heavens, do not merge! Dumbledore deserves a page to himself. R.I.P.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 125.237.203.84 (talk) 03:06, 6 July 2011

I agree that the page should not be merged, but it seriously needs to be more than just a list of quotes. How about Born on/in died age __, stuff like that? Why should lady gagas page be so long when nobody finished dumbledores page? For real. He's practically a real person, he's def. got a more profound effect on people than lady gaga.. the page should tell someone who doesn't know what a dumbledore is why he was important annd what he represented..quotes are insufficient this is pop culture/turning into history. I wonder if gandalfs page is better...—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.253.67.54 (talk) 22:15, 26 July 2011

Dumbledore deserves a page all his own. Having to search through all the Harry Potter quotes to find the Dumbledore ones would be such a drag. He's so full of wisdom that a compilation of his quotes, and his alone, is not only infintely enjoyable but is also an instruction manual for life.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.117.62.100 (talk) 25 September 2011

Surely you must be joking. Nearly every word the man spoke was quotable. Easily the most quotable character in the entire HP series, and honestly one of the most quotable characters in all of modern literature. It needs to be kept separate (linked to the series pages, perhaps) and expanded considerably. There are simply not enough of Dumbledore's quotes included as it stands.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.8.193.150 (talk) 06:02, 31 March 2013
