Sanji Mmasenono Monageng
Motswana judge
Sanji Mmasenono Monageng was born on the 9 August 1950 in Botswana. She has been a judge of the International Criminal Court since 2009. She became a judge in Botswana in 1989. In 2003 she became the elected as the Commissioner in the African Commission on Human and people's Rights which is an organ in African Union. On 30 September 2013, Monageng received the Presidential Order of Honor from President Ian Khama.[ In 2014, Monageng was given the Human Rights Award by the International Association of Women Judges.[1]
