Penny Mordaunt

British politician (born 1973)

Penelope Mary Mordaunt (born 4 March 1973) is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as Leader of the House of Commons since September 2022. Mordaunt was first elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Portsmouth North in 2010. She served as Minister for Women and Equalities from 2018 to 2019 and Secretary of State for International Development from 2017 to 2019. She was briefly Secretary of State for Defence from May to July 2019.
