Olivia Durant is originally from Pittsburgh and came to national attention from being legally blind from birth, then regaining eyesight in 2006 thanks to a surgical procedure at The Eye Center of New York[1]. This life changing occurrence garnered national media attention and increasing public interest in Olivia’s inspirational story.
