Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty (born December 8, 1982), known professionally as Nicki Minaj, is a Trinidadian rapper, singer, and songwriter. One of the most influential rappers of all time, she first gained recognition from three mixtapes she released between 2007 and 2009.
