For a long time I chose assignments that didn’t necessarily interest me, just to prove I could do the stuff that guys did. But in the process I was slowly losing my ‘female voice’. So, once I had achieved a certain level of success, I felt able to change my approach and begin to feel more comfortable just being myself.[2]
