How can you say that your truth is better than ours?
Shoulder to shoulder, now brother, we carry no arms.
The blind man sleeps in the doorway, his home.
If only I had an enemy bigger than my apathy I could have won.

All lyrics written by Ted Dwane, Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford and Country Marshall.

  • Love that will not betray you,
    Dismay or enslave you,
    It will set you free.
    Be more like the man
    You were made to be.
    There is a design,
    An alignment to cry,
    At my heart you see,
    The beauty of love
As it was made to be.
    • Sigh No More, originally from Shakespeare, Much Ado About Nothing
  • It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
    Away from all the fears
And all the faults you've left behind.

The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat.

  • Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be.

And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck.

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again.

    • The Cave
  • As the winter winds litter London with lonely hearts
Oh the warmth in your eyes swept me into your arms
Was it love or fear of the cold that led us through the night?
For every kiss your beauty trumped my doubt.
  • Roll away your stone, I’ll roll away mine;
Together we can see what we will find.
Don’t leave me alone at this time,
For I am afraid of what I will discover inside.

You told me that I would find a hole,
Within the fragile substance of my soul
And I have filled this void with things unreal,
And all the while my character it steals.

  • But you, you've gone too far this time
You have neither reason nor rhyme
With which to take this soul that is so rightfully mine.
    • Roll Away Your Stone
  • How can you say that your truth is better than ours?
Shoulder to shoulder, now brother, we carry no arms.
The blind man sleeps in the doorway, his home.
If only I had an enemy bigger than my apathy I could have won.
    • I Gave You All
  • Weep for yourself, my man,
You'll never be what is in your heart
    Weep Little Lion Man,
You're not as brave as you were at the start
    Rate yourself and rake yourself,
Take all the courage you have left
Wasted on fixing all the problems
That you made in your own head.
  • But it was not your fault but mine.
And it was your heart on the line.
I really fucked it up this time.
    Didn't I, my dear?
    • Little Lion Man
  • Cold is the water
It freezes your already cold mind
    Already cold, cold mind
And death is at your doorstep
And it will steal your innocence
But it will not steal your substance.
    • Timshel
  • Spare me your judgements and spare me your dreams
Cause recently mine have been tearing my seams.
I sit alone in this winter clarity which clouds my mind,
Alone in the wind and the rain you left me.
    It's getting dark darling, too dark to see;
And I'm on my knees, and your faith in shreds, it seems.
    • Thistle and Weeds
  • Lend me your hand and we'll conquer them all
But lend me your heart and I'll just let you fall
Lend me your eyes I can change what you see
But your soul you must keep, totally free.
    • Awake My Soul
  • I came home
    Like a stone.
And I fell heavy into your arms.
    These days of dust
    Which we've known
Will blow away with this new sun.

    And I'll kneel down,
    Wait for now.
    And I'll kneel down,
    Wait for now.

And I will wait, I will wait for you.

  • And in the middle of the night
    I may watch you go.
There'll be no value in the strength of walls that I have grown.
There'll be no comfort in the shade of the shadows thrown.
But I'll be yours if you'll be mine.
    • Lover of the Light
