Minimax
decision rule used for minimizing the possible loss for a worst case scenario
Minimax is a decision rule used in artificial intelligence, decision theory, game theory, statistics and philosophy for minimizing the maximum possible loss for a worst case scenario. Maximin is the decision rule for maximizing the minimum possible gain.
