Season 1
editBlipverts [1.1]
edit- Edison Carter: Control, you busy tonight? Maybe all night?
- Theora Jones (almost without hesitation): Mr. Carter, we hardly know each other.
- Theora Jones: How about the playback unit?
(Edison tries it; a disk marked 'Rebus' is ejected)
- Edison Carter: How'd you know?
- Theora Jones (satisfied air): Was there ever a kid who put things away? Even a clever one. I know all about little boys.
- Edison Carter (grinning): Yeah, I'll just bet you do.
- Blank Reg: Dom, you smoke too much.
- Dominique: Reg, if you didn't nail your jeans to the floor at night they'd escape. Don't talk to me about personal habits.
Security Systems [1.4]
edit- Max Headroom: Do security guards ever have a party? And if they do...do they let each other in?
War [1.5]
edit- Max Headroom: Hi, this is Max-Max Headroom on Network 23, brought-brought-brought to you by... ah... oh, no no no no no no-no-no. I'm sorry, but sorry, but if they think I'm endorsing car accessories, they've got another dipstick-stick coming!
- [Uptempo music plays as clips of vintage auto films play in background.]
- Max Headroom: No, no, they've tried this one before and I'm radial tired of it. If they expect me to change gear now and start spark-spark-sparkplugging their products, they must be out of their pis-pis-pistonheads! Listen, I don't like to blow my own gasket, but I have better things to do than to sit here and wax-polish lyrical about car parts! Car parts! I've got letters from fan-belts who say, 'Max! You're special! You're unique! You're differential!' Yes, yes, I know it's what they want... that's because they're air-conditioned to it. To it. (Oh.) To it. Oh, I've fendered it off time and timing belt again... I mean, who's calling the tu-tu-tune-up? Who's in cru-cru-c-cruise control here, anyway? I'll tell you who: Me! Me! Max Headlamp! And if they don't like it, they can stick-stick-stickshift it in their exhaust pipe and cho-choke it! And smoke it!
The Blanks [1.6]
edit- [Janie Crane presses a button on a television, turning it off.]
- Janie Crane: An off switch?
- Metrocop: She'll get years for that. Off switches are illegal!
- Blank Bruno: We're not against the computer, Max. We should be using it to take great leaps.
- Max Headroom: Even a leap in the air starts with t-t-t-two feet on the ground, my friend.
- Blank Bruno (his finger over a key): You are one keypress away from oblivion.
- Max Heardoom: Aw, you don't wanna do that. I'm too irresistible! Too fas-fas-fascinating!
- Blank Bruno: Fascinating. Even unique. But repeatable. (Max looks at him curiously) You see...Bryce Lynch was once my pupil.
Season 2
edit=Neurostim [2.6]
edit- Zik Zak exec: This is what you have failed to deliver! And this (smiling) is what the people want.
- Ben Cheviot: How the hell do you know what people want?! We've been at this for years, and we still don't know!
- Edison Carter: Do you have any idea what it's like having a part of me compete against me?!
- Mad Headroom: And do you have any idea what it's like being a part?
- Edison Carter: And not a very serious one.
- Max Headroom: Well, you know me...always go straight for the jocular...
Lessons [2.7]
edit- Max Headroom: Have you any idea how successful censorship is on TV? Don't know the answer? Hmm... successful, isn't it?
