The Lone Ranger (1949–1957) is an American TV drama series featuring a masked former Texas Ranger from the American Old West. The title character was played by Clayton Moore, who gallops on horseback righting injustices with the aid of his clever, laconic American Indian assistant, Tonto (Jay Silverheels).
