Li Qiang (Chinese:李强) (born 23 July 1959) is a Chinese politician, currently serving as the 8th premier of the State Council of China since March 2023. He has served as the second-ranking member on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee Politburo Standing Committee since October 2022. He previously served as party secretary of Shanghai City from 2017 to 2022, party secretary of Jiangsu Province from 2016 to 2017, and governor of Zhejiang Province from 2012 to 2016.
