McCoy: The defendant is one of the richest men in the world. He donates billions of dollars to various charities across the globe. He's close friends with foreign dignitaries and movie stars, the Mayor of New York. By all accounts, he is a decent person most of the time. But on the morning of December 12th, he was not. He was a killer. And that's all that matters. When I was elected district attorney, I gave a pledge to the citizens of New York to act fairly and ethically, without bias or favor, to always act with integrity. During my time as district attorney, I've tried my best to uphold that sacred oath in the pursuit of justice. And now, members of the jury, it's your turn to act fairly and ethically, without bias or favor, and to find the defendant, Scott Kelton, guilty of murder.

Price: [after learning McCoy resigned as District Attorney] You just got a conviction. You can still win the election. Who cares about the damn mayor? Let the people decide.
McCoy: I've been thinking about this for a while. It's time. It just is. Look, the mayor is a vindictive son of a bitch. He's gonna call in every chit he has to make sure my opponent wins the election, and he'll succeed. Then he's going to bury everyone who wronged him. Including you, especially you.
Price: Jack...
McCoy: If I step aside now, the Governor will be able to appoint someone new, someone with integrity. [raises a glass] It's been a hell of a ride.

Balance of Power [23.07]

Price: This case all comes down to one thing. Control. Jonah Barlowe ceded it to the defendant in an act of intimacy, trusting her with access to his bank account in an attempt to satisfy a private desire within himself. And whether or not you can understand that desire, what is unquestionably clear is that the defendant took advantage of it and stole $25 million from him. And when he demanded she returned the money, she then tried to control him using shame. She threatened to out the details of his personal life. She did the same to one of her other clients, Derek Parker. But Jonah Barlowe refused to submit. And the defendant, in a desperate attempt to reclaim control of the situation, violently attacked and murdered him. And now, ladies and gentlemen, it's up to you. This case is now in your control.

Price: We don't know each other, but you should know that I take this job very seriously. And I feel the weight each and every trial, and I try my hardest to do what is in the best interests of the victim. Always. But if that isn't good enough...
Baxter: Are you tendering your resignation?
Price: I'm just telling you who I am.
