  • Scarlett...
    • Who: An agent of the Nexus corporation
    • Source: The Power of Five book four, Necropolis
    • Note: The Nexus knew of the Old Ones, but were vastly inexperienced in the demons, so they tried a more direct way of rescuing Scarlett from Hong Kong, the possessed city. Scarlett is shocked by this.

    • Source: The Power of Five book four, Necropolis
    • Note: Desiring nothing more than to be left alone in his office, the chairman politely asks Father Gregory to step out of the sixty storey window to his death, and then sits back to reflect on his goals. He is distracted by a flying ship spinning at him due to the hurricane, and it smashes in the window, killing him. He does not run because of his belief in destiny: he heard that he would be killed by a boat.
  • Many people were here, they would have killed you if you had entered. But they've been taken care of...

Cardinal Riveria later took Pedro to the Vatican at midnight, and poisoned some wine, which he and Pedro both drank. Cardinal Riveria revealed the wine was poisoned, and the world was becoming so bad that there was no point in living any more. Cardinal Riveria said he had killed himself because he couldn't live if he killed a child, but Pedro saved himself using his own healing power and by drinking dirty water. The priest died soon after of the poison.
