Kiron Skinner

Kiron Kanina Skinner (born 1961) is the Taube Professor of International Relations and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University, and is the founding director of these entities at the university: Carnegie Mellon University-Washington Semester Program, Center for International Relations and Politics, Institute for Politics and Strategy, and the Institute for Strategic Analysis. She is also the W. Glenn Campbell Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. In August 2018 she was appointed by the Trump administration to serve as the Director of Policy Planning.
