Jean-Dominique Bauby
French journalist, author and editor with Locked-In Syndrome (1952-1997)
Jean-Dominique Bauby (23 April 1952 – 9 March 1997) was a well-known French journalist and author and editor of the French fashion magazine ELLE who suffered from locked-in syndrome. He was able to dictate his memoir, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, by blinking his left eye.
