French lawyer, political activist and writer
Jacques Vergès (5 March 1925 – 15 August 2013) was a Siamese-born French lawyer, writer and political activist, nicknamed "the Devil's Advocate," who was most notable as a defender of individuals accused of terrorism and war crimes.
