Song lyrics
edit- Whispers at the bus stop.
I heard about nights out in the school yard.
I found out about you.
Rumors follow everywhere you go.
Like when you left and I was last to know.
You're famous now and there's no doubt,
In all the places you hang out,
They know your name and know what you're about.- Found Out About You, written by Doug Hopkins
- Tell me do you think it'd be all right
If I could just crash here tonight?
You can see I'm in no shape for driving
And anyway I've got no place to go.
And you know it might not be that bad,
You were the best I'd ever had.
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago,
I might not be alone.- Hey Jealousy, written by Doug Hopkins
- 'Cause all I really want is to be with you,
Feeling like I matter too.
If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago,
I might be here with you.- Hey Jealousy
Up and Crumbling (1991)
edit- I've lost my mind on what I'd find,
And all of the pressure that I left behind
On Allison Road.
Fools in the rain if the sun gets through,
Fire's in the heaven of the eyes I knew
On Allison Road.- Allison Road, written by Robin Wilson
- And every day's much better
Since I've slowed my drinking pace.
There's no swimming in the bottle
It's just someplace we all drown.- Mrs. Rita, written by Jim Swafford and Jesse Valenzuela
New Miserable Experience (1992)
edit- The last horizons I could see
Are now resigned to memories.
I never thought I'd still be here today.- Lost Horizons, written by Doug Hopkins
- So I guess I must have just been dreaming
When I thought I heard myself say no.
Anyway it looks like no one heard me, so here I go.
'Cause when you're in the company of strangers,
Or just the strangers you call friends,
You know before you start just how it's going to end.- Hold Me Down, written by Doug Hopkins and Robin Wilson
- My nerves are frayed and I've had enough.
I'm a lot afraid that it'll hurt too much.
I can't seem to stop at all,
I'm plain wore through, waiting for your call.
I've been waiting around here all night long,
Holding on to these memories until they come undone.- Hands are Tied, written by Jesse Valenzuela
Congratulations… I'm Sorry (1996)
edit- Anywhere you go, I'll follow you down;
Anyplace but those I know by heart.
Anywhere you go, I'll follow you down;
I'll follow you down, but not that far.- Follow You Down, written by Scott Johnson, Bill Leen, Phillip Rhodes, Jesse Valenzuela, and Robin Wilson
- Are they gonna find us lying face down in the sand?
So what the hell now, we've already been forever damned.- Follow You Down
- It gets hard;
The memory's faded.
Who gets what they say?
It's likely they're just jealous and jaded.
Well maybe I don't want to take advice from fools.
I'll just figure everything is cool
Until I hear it from you.- Til I Hear It from You, written by Jesse Valenzuela, Robin Wilson, and Marshall Crenshaw
Major Lodge Victory (2006)
edit- I wonder what you're dreaming
While we're halfway 'cross this bridge.
We've come too far to turn back,
We're just too close to quit.- Learning the Hard Way, written by Jesse Valenzuela
- Sometimes late at night when I'm all alone,
I watch the airplane lights, make my way back home.
I wonder if you're flying somewhere up in the clouds,
While the rest of us are stuck here down inside the crowd.- Super Girl, written by Jesse Valenzuela
No Chocolate Cake (2010)
edit- You're such a mystery;
It's never clear to me.
You're always leaving me second guessing.
All I wanna know is
Baby where you go.
Where you been when you come up missing?
Miss Disarray.
