Directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee (filmmaker). Written by Jennifer Lee.

Do you wanna build a snowman?
I never knew what I was capable of.
  • [9 Years Old, singing] Do you wanna build a snowman, or ride our bikes around the halls?
I think some company is overdue!
I've started talking to, the pictures on the walls!
    Hang in there, Joan!
It gets a little lonely, all these empty rooms, just watching the hours tick by! [imitates a clock ticking and rolls her eyes back and forth.]
  • [15 Years Old] Elsa? [singing] Please, I know you're in there.
People are asking where you've been. They say, "Have courage", and I'm trying to.
I'm right out here for you.
    Just let me in.
We only have each other, it's just you and me.
    What are we gonna do?
Do you wanna build a snowman?
  • [During her first meeting with Hans] This is awkward. Not "You're awkward", but just 'cause we're... I'm awkward. You're gorgeous. [realizes what she just said] Wait, what?
  • [Searches for Elsa on her horse] Elsa! Elsa! Elsa, it's me, Anna, your sister who didn't mean to make you freeze the summer. I'm sorry, it's all my fault. [To herself] Of course, it wouldn't have happened if she'd just told me her secret. She's a stinker.
  • [Walking in the freezing snow in her summer gown; Disappointed] Snow. It had to be snow! She couldn't have had tropical magic that covered the f-fjords in white sand and warm... [Sees smoke; happily] Fire!
  • We can invite all 12 of your brothers to stay with us.
  • [After accidentally falling into a frigid river; wandering towards Oaken's Trading Post with her dress practically stiff due to it icing over] Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold!
  • "Wandering Oaken's Trading Post." Ooh. "And sauna"!
  • Christopher!
  • [to Marshmallow] It is not nice to throw people!
  • [After she and Kristoff fell off a cliff to avoid Marshmallow] Hey, you were right. Just like a pillow!
  • [After the baby troll has told her that Kristoff likes to "tinkle in the woods"] I did not need to know that.
  • It's 100-foot drop.

  • I never knew what I was capable of.
    • After building her ice palace
  • [After Anna tells her she belongs in Arendelle] No, Anna. I belong here... alone. Where I can be who I am... without hurting anybody.
  • [To Hans, unaware that he left Anna to die] Just take care of my sister!
  • Love will thaw... Love. Of course! Love! [Uses her powers to thaw the eternal winter]

The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in —
Heaven knows I've tried.

Let It GoEdit

Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know… Well now they know!
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me,
I'm free!
I don't care
what they're going to say!
Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway!
  • The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen.
    A kingdom of isolation,
and it looks like I'm the Queen.
  • The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
    Couldn't keep it in —
    Heaven knows I've tried.
  • Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
    Well now they know!
  • Let it goǃ Let it go!
    Can't hold it back anymore!
Let it go, let it go!
Turn away and slam the door!
  • I don't care what they're going to say!
    Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway.
  • It's funny how some distance
    Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at allǃ
  • It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break throughǃ
No right, no wrong, no rules for me,
    I'm free!
  • Let it goǃ Let it go!
I am one with the wind and sky!
Let it goǃ Let it go!
    You'll never see me cry!
  • Here I stand,and here I'll stay.
    Let the storm rage on!
  • My power flurries through the air into the ground!
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around!
  • And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast —
I'm never going back, the past is in the past!
  • Let it goǃ Let it goǃ
And I'll rise like the break of dawnǃ
Let it goǃ Let it goǃ
    That perfect girl is goneǃ
  • Here, I stand
    In the light of dayǃ
    Let the storm rage onǃ
The cold never bothered me anyway!

  • What do you want, Sven? "Give me a snack." What's the magic word? "Please." Uh-uh-uh-uh! Share.
  • [After being thrown out of Oaken's] No, Sven. I didn't get your carrots. [Sven groans] But I did find us a place to sleep, and it's free.
  • [to Anna, who put her feet on his sled] Whoa, whoa, whoa. Get your feet down. This is fresh lacquer! Seriously, were you raised in a barn? [spits on the sled to clean it]
  • [As he watches his sled fall off a cliff and burn in a fiery explosion] Ahh, but I just paid it off. "She'll die on her own." "But she won't get a new sled if she's dead."
  • It's 200.
  • Forty? No, 10.
  • There's 20 feet of fresh powder down there it'll be like landing on a pillow, hopefully.
  • [As Olaf finishes his musical number about how he loves summer and walks to Elsa's palace with Anna and Sven] Somebody's got to tell him.
  • [About Elsa's ice stairs that lead to her palace; whistles] Flawless.
  • [When Anna won't let him follow her into the ice castle] But-- but-- Oh, come on! It's a palace made of ice! Ice is my life!
  • [To Anna, who threw a snowball at Marshmallow, enraging him] Oh! See, now you made him mad!
  • [As the trolls sing about his flaws] This is not about me!
  • [To the trolls, who believe that Anna is his girlfriend] Stop it, stop it, stop it, Enough! She's engaged someone else, okay?

  • [his head is upside down] Wait, what am I looking at right now? Why are you hanging off the earth like a bat?
  • [Head now right side up] Now I'm perfect! It was like my whole life was turned upside down.
  • [After Anna pushes a carrot through his face] WHOO! Head rush!
  • [Touching his new nose excitedly] I've always wanted a nose! So cute; it's like little baby unicorn!
  • [singing] Bees will buzz, kids will blow dandelion fuzz, and I'll be doing what ever snow does in summer!
A drink, in my hand, my snow up against the burning sand, probably getting gorgeously tanned in summer!
I'll finally see a summer breeze blow away a winter storm, and find out what happens to solid water when it gets warm.
And I can't, wait to see, what my buddies all think of me. Just imagine how much cooler I'll be in summer! [Vocals]
The hot and the cold are both so intense, put them together, it just makes sense! [Vocals] Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle, but put me in summer and I'll be a... [pauses in front of a puddle] ...Happy snowman (and not a puddle)!
When life gets rough I like to hold onto my dreams, relaxing in the summer sun, just lettin' off steam! Oh the sky will be blue, and you guys will be there too!
When I finally do, what frozen things do, in summer!
  • [about Elsa] Yeah. I bet she's the nicest, gentlest, warmest person ever. [after getting painlessly pierced by an icicle] Oh, look at that. I've been impaled. [giggles]
  • [To Anna, who's hesitant to knock on Elsa's door] Knock. [Anna doesn't budge] Just knock. [Anna still doesn't budge] [whispers to Kristoff] Why isn't she knocking? Do you think she knows how to knock?
  • [as his head crashes down next to Anna and Kristoff] Heads up! Watch out for my butt! [the rest of his body crashes near them]
  • [about Marshmallow] I'll distract him. You guys go. [Kristoff and Anna leave, as do his feet and torso] No, no! Not you guys! [his head falls to the ground] This just got a whole lot harder.
  • [Riding on Sven with Kristoff and Anna] Let's go kiss Hans!... Who is this "Hans"?
  • [after Elsa brings back summer] Hands down, this is the best day of my life. [starts melting] ...And quite possibly the last.

  • [after catching Anna who trips] Glad I caught you.
  • [To Anna] I would never shut you out.
  • [To Elsa, as she is battling the duke's men] Queen Elsa! Don't be the monster they fear you are!
  • Oh, Anna. If only there was someone out there who loved you.
  • Twelve older brothers.
  • All that's left now is to kill Elsa and bring back summer.
  • [To Elsa, out in the blizzard on the fjord] Elsa! You can't run from this!

The thing is she wore the gloves all the time, so I just thought, maybe she has a thing about dirt…
I like the open gates.
[First lines]
Ice harvesters: [singing as they cut blocks of ice from a lake] Born of cold and winter air
And mountain rain combining,
This icy force, both foul and fair,
Has a frozen heart worth mining.
So cut through the heart, cold and clear,
Strike for love and strike for fear,
See the beauty, sharp and sheer.
Split the ice apart!
And break the frozen heart.

[First spoken lines; In the middle of the night, Anna climbs into Elsa's bed]
Young Anna: [whispering] Elsa! Psst! [climbs onto Elsa's bed and begins shaking Elsa's shoulder] Elsa! Wake up, wake up, wake up!
Young Elsa: [half-awake] Anna, go back to sleep! [Anna flops theatrically on her back]
Young Anna: I just can't! The sky's awake, so I'm awake, so we have to play!
Young Elsa: Go play by yourself! [Elsa nudges Anna off the bed, who hits the floor with a thud. Anna suddenly smiles, crawls back onto the bed, and opens Elsa's left eye]
Young Anna: [mischievously] Do you wanna build a snowman?
[Elsa opens her eyes and a smile forms on her face. Cuts to the two sisters running downstairs to the ballroom]

Young Anna: [singing] Do you wanna build a snowman?
Come on, let's go and play!
I never see you anymore!
Come out the door!
It's like you've gone away!
We used to be best buddies, and now we're not.
I wish you would tell me why!
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Do you wanna build a snowman?
Young Elsa: [from inside her bedroom] Go away, Anna!
Young Anna: [disappointed] Okay, bye...

Teenage Elsa: [to her parents] I'm scared! It's getting stronger!
King Agdar: Getting upset only makes it worse. Calm down. [reaches out to touch her, but Elsa backs away]
Teenage Elsa: No! Don't touch me! Please. I don't want to hurt you...

[As the camera tracks through Arendelle on the day of Elsa's coronation, we catch sight of a mother forcing her boy to dress up]
Son: Why do I have to wear this?
Mother: Because the queen has come of age! It's Coronation Day!
Son: That's not my fault.

[Dignitaries are filing across the bridge, headed for the castle gates]
Irish Dignitary: Oh, me sore eyes can't wait to see the queen and the princess! I bet they're absolutely lovely.
Spanish Dignitary: I bet they are beautiful!
[Cuts to Anna fast asleep, drooling, and nibbling on a lock of hair. A servant knocks on the door]
Kai: Princess Anna?
Princess Anna: [snorts] Huh? [Anna sits up, her hair a complete mess]
Kai: Princess Anna?
Anna: Yeah...?
Kai: Sorry to wake you, ma'am, but–
Anna: No, no, no, no! You didn't. [yawns] I've been up for hours. [starts snoring and she dozes off. After a moment, Anna startles herself awake] Who is it?
Kai: Eh, it's still me, ma'am. The gates will open soon. [Anna rubs sleep out of her eyes] Time to get ready.
Anna: Of course! [spits hair out of her mouth] Ahem... Ready for what...?
Kai: Your sister's coronation, ma'am?
Anna: My sister's... corneration... [sees her coronation dress; her eyes bolt open] It's coronation day! [jumps out of bed]

[Anna finishes "For the First Time In Forever"]
Princess Anna: ...For the first time in forever, nothing's in my way... [promptly collides with a horse, stumbles, and falls into a rowboat placed precariously on the edge of the dock. The boat nearly tips over but the horse places a hoof on the other end of the boat to steady it] Hey!
Prince Hans: I'm so sorry! Are you hurt? [Anna gets a good look at Hans's face and is immediately smitten]
Princess Anna: [smiles] Hey. Uh... no. No! I'm... I'm okay.
Prince Hans: Are you sure?
Princess Anna: Yeah, I... I just wasn't looking where I was going, but I'm great, actually. [Hans jumps off his horse and steps onto the boat]
Prince Hans: Oh, thank goodness. [holds out his hand and helps Anna to her feet] Oh. Uh... Prince Hans of the Southern Isles.
Princess Anna: [curtsies] Princess Anna of Arendelle.
Prince Hans: Princess? My lady! [suddenly drops to his knees to bow, while his horse inadvertently lifts its foot off the boat, causing it to tip over. Hans grabs Anna before she can fall in the water]
Princess Anna: Wooh!
Prince Hans: Um... [The two look at each other awkwardly]
Princess Anna: Hi... again!
[Hans's horse slams its hoof back onto the boat, tipping it back upright. Anna falls on top of Hans]
Prince Hans: Oh, boy! Uh...
Princess Anna: This is awkward. Not you're awkward, but just because we're... I'm awkward-- you're gorgeous. Wait, what?
Prince Hans: I'd like to formally apologize for hitting the Princess of Arendelle with my horse...and for every moment after.
Princess Anna: No. No, no! It's fine. I'm not that princess. I mean, if you'd hit my sister Elsa, it would be like... yeesh! 'Cause, you know... [Anna pats Hans's horse's mane] Hello. [to Hans] But lucky you, it''s just me.
Prince Hans: [chuckles] Just you? [Anna smiles at Hans. Church bells are heard in the distance]
Princess Anna: The bells. The coronation! I... I... I better go! I have to go. I better go! Uh... bye! [Anna rushes off. Hans's horse inadvertently lifts its hoof to wave as well, and the boat begins to tip]
Prince Hans: Oh no. Ahǃ [Hans falls into the water]

[During the coronation ceremony in the chapel, the bishop presents Elsa the orb and scepter. Elsa starts to reach for them]
Bishop: [clears throat] Your Majesty? The gloves.
[Elsa nervously takes off her gloves and picks up the orb and scepter. She immediately panics as ice begins forming on both]
Bishop: [in Old Norse] Sem hón heldr inum helgum eignum ok krýnd í þessum helga stað ek té fram fyrir yðr... Queen Elsa of Arendelle. ("As she holds the holy properties, and is crowned in this holy place, I present to you... Queen Elsa of Arendelle.")
Crowd: Queen Elsa of Arendelle! [Elsa quickly returns the orb and scepter and puts her gloves back on as the crowd applauds]

[As a dance at the party ends, Elsa steps forward to be introduced]
Kai: [gestures towards Elsa] Queen Elsa of Arendelle. [gestures towards where Anna should be] Princess Anna of Arendelle. [Anna comes running in from stage right. Kai points toward Anna, then has her move toward Elsa]
Princess Anna: [confused] What, here? Are you sure? Because I don't think I'm supposed to...[Kai repositions Anna on the throne dais to Elsa's right] Oh! Okay!
[The crowd applauds. The next dance begins]
Queen Elsa: [to Anna] Hi.
Princess Anna: [surprised] "Hi-" "Hi" me? [Elsa nods] Oh, um... hi?
Queen Elsa: You look beautiful.
Princess Anna: Thank you! You look beatifuller! I mean not fuller. You don't look fuller but more-more beautiful.
Queen Elsa: [laughs] Thank you. [looks out over the crowd] So...this is what a party looks like.
Princess Anna: It's warmer than I thought.
Queen Elsa: And what is that amazing smell? [They sniff the air together, and...]
Queen Elsa and Princess Anna: [in unison] Chocolate! [Both sisters break down giggling]
Kai: Your majesty? [waves the Duke of Weselton forward] The Duke of Weasel Town. (Is it right or...?)
Duke of Weselton: "Weselton"! Duke of Weselton, Your Majesty. As your closest partner in trade, it seems only fitting that I offer you your first dance as queen. [does a fiddle with his feet. When he finishes and bows, his toupee comes off. Anna and Elsa laugh discreetly]
Queen Elsa: Ahem. Uh, thank you. Only, I don't dance.
Duke of Weselton: Ah.
Queen Elsa: [grins mischievously] But my sister does.
Princess Anna: Oh. Wait, what?
Duke of Weselton: Ohǃ Lucky you!
Princess Anna: Oh, I don't think--! [The Duke takes Anna by the arm and leads her away to dance]
Duke of Weselton: If you swoon, let me know! I'll catch you!
Queen Elsa: [snickers] Sorry.

[on the dance floor, Anna stands as the Duke of Weselton dances around her showing off]
Duke of Weselton: Like an agile peacock...! [he steps on her feet as he dances around her. His toupee flops up and down the whole time]
Princess Anna: Ow! Ow!
Duke of Weselton: Speaking of, it's so great to have the gates open. Why did they shut them in the first place? Do you know the reason? Hmm?
Princess Anna: No.
Duke of Weselton: Oh. Alright. Hang onǃ [he suddenly grabs Anna and dips her back] They don't call me "the Little Dipper" for nothing! [Anna notices Elsa giggling at her and gives her an "I'll kill you for this later" smile. Then the Duke tips Anna back up and spins her]
Princess Anna: Oh! [He starts doing Lindsay Funke's "chicken dance" as he struts around Anna again]
Duke of Weselton: Like a chicken with the face of a monkey...I fly!
[as the music ends, Anna limps back towards Elsa]
Duke of Weselton: Let me know when you're ready for another round, my lady!
Queen Elsa: Well, he was sprightly.
Princess Anna: Ah! Especially for a man in heels!
Queen Elsa: Are you okay?
Princess Anna: I've never been better. This is so nice! I wish it could be like this all the time.
Queen Elsa: Me too... [Elsa catches herself, remembering the accident with Anna from childhood, stiffens and looks away]...But it can't.
Princess Anna: Why not? I mean, if we... [Anna goes to hug Elsa but she pulls away]
Queen Elsa: It just can't, okay?
Princess Anna: You know what? Excuse me for a minute. [walks away] Whoa!
Prince Hans: Glad I caught you.
Princess Anna: Hans.

[Anna and Hans are sitting out on the balcony, talking and eating chocolate]
Princess Anna: Yeah, the whole thing.
[Hans scoffs the chocolate in his hands. The two laugh.]
Princess Anna: You got it. Okay wait, wait. So, you have how many brothers?
Prince Hans: 12 older brothers. 3 of them pretended I was invisible... literally... for 2 years!
Princess Anna: That's horrible.
Prince Hans: It's what brothers do.
Princess Anna: And sisters. Elsa and I were really close when we were little. But then one day, she just shut me out and... I never knew why.
Prince Hans: [caresses Anna's hand] I would never shut you out.
[Anna smiles]
Princess Anna: Okay, can I just say something crazy?
Prince Hans: I love crazy!

Prince Hans: Can I say something crazy? Will you marry me?
Princess Anna: Can I say something even crazier? Yes!

[Anna and Hans approach Elsa seeking for her to bless their engagement. Elsa looks outright alarmed by the news]
Princess Anna: Well, we haven’t worked out all the details ourselves. We’ll need a few days to plan the ceremony. Of course, we’ll have soup, roast, and ice cream. And then... Wait. Would we live here.
Queen Elsa: Here.
Prince Hans: Absolutely!
Queen Elsa: Anna.
Princess Anna. Oh, we can invite all twelve of your brothers to stay with us. Of course we have the room. I don’t know, some of them must...
Queen Elsa: What? No. No, no, no, no! Just wait. Slow down! No one's brothers are staying here. No one is getting married.
Princes Anna: Wait, what?
Queen Elsa: May I talk to you, please? Alone?
Princess Anna: No! Whatever you have to say, you... you can say to both of us.
Queen Elsa: Fine. You can't marry a man you just met.
Princess Anna: You can if it's true love.
Queen Elsa: Anna, what do you know about true love?
Princess Anna: More than you. All you know is how to shut people out.
Queen Elsa: [looks hurt by Anna's words, but remains calm] You asked for my blessing, but my answer is "no". Now... excuse me. [Elsa starts to walk away]
Prince Hans: Your Majesty, if I may ease your...
Queen Elsa: No, you may not. And I... I think you should go. [to a guard] The party is over. Close the gates.
Guard: Yes, your majesty.
Princess Anna: What? Elsa, no! No, wait! [She tries to grab Elsa's hand, but instead yanks off her glove. Elsa gasps in horror]
Queen Elsa: [desperately] Give me my glove.
Princess Anna: [also desperate] Elsa, please! Please! I can't live like this anymore!
Queen Elsa: [pauses] Then leave. [Anna looks at her, looking hurt. Elsa then turns to leave.]
Princess Anna: [calling after her] What did I ever do to you?
Queen Elsa: [impatiently] Enough, Anna.
Princess Anna: No! Why? Why do you shut me out? Why-why do you shut the world out? What are you so afraid of?!
Queen Elsa: I said ENOUGH!!!! [Elsa swings her hand around, shooting out a wall of icicles around her. Everyone - including Anna - stares at her in shock. Elsa shrinks back, staring in horror at what she's done] (There's your answer, all right?)
Duke of Weselton: Sorcery. [hides behind one of his bodyguards] I knew there was something dubious going on here.
Princess Anna: [stares at Elsa in horror] Elsa?
[Devastated, Elsa flees the ballroom.]

[Having fled the ballroom, Elsa barges out the front doors to find a large crowd gathered outside]
Bystander: There she is! [The crowd starts applauding. Elsa takes one look at the crowd and rushes through, in a big hurry, attracting remarks from various men, until she is stopped by a woman holding a baby in her arms]
Mother: Your Majesty? Are you all right?
Queen Elsa: No. [Elsa shakes her head and slowly backs into an ornamental fountain. When her left hand touches the marble, it instantaneously begins icing over. The water in the fountain then freezes, startling the crowd. The duke appears at the front doorway]
Duke of Weselton: There she is! Stop her!
Queen Elsa: [scared] Please, just stay away from me! Stay away! [Her ice magic suddenly hurls a blast of ice at the Duke, knocking him and his guards down]
Duke of Weselton: Monsterǃ Monster! [Elsa takes one look and keeps on running]

Prince Hans: Did you know.
Princess Anna: No.
Duke of Weselton: Look! It’s snowing! It’s snowing! The Queen has cursed this land! She must be stopped! You have to go after her.
Princess Anna: Wait, no!
Duke of Weselton: [to Anna] You! [hides behind his bodyguards again] Is there sorcery in you, too? Are you a monster, too?ǃ
Princess Anna: No! No, I'm completely ordinary.
Prince Hans: That's right, she is. [Anna looks at him quizzically] In... in the best way. [Anna smiles at him]
Princess Anna: [to the Duke] My-my sister's not a monster.
Duke of Weselton: She nearly killed me!
Prince Hans: You slipped on ice.
Duke of Weselton: Her ice!
Princess Anna: It was an accident. She was scared. She didn't mean it. She didn't mean any of this. [The Duke rolls his eyes] Tonight was my fault. I pushed her, so I'm the one that needs to go after her.
Prince Hans: What?
Princess Anna: Bring me my horse, please.
Prince Hans: Anna, no. It’s too dangerous.
Princess Anna: [Scoffs] Elsa’s not dangerous. I’ll bring her back and I’ll make this right.
Prince Hans: I’m coming with you.

[Anna staggers up to the porch of a cabin in the woods, her dress very stiff after falling in a creek. She knocks some snow off the sign]
Princess Anna: "Wandering Oaken's Trading Post." [Snow falls off the little sign below it] Ooh. "And sauna"!
[Anna enters the store, shivering. The wind slams the door shut behind her]
Oaken: Hoo-hoo!
Princess Anna: Hmmm? [She takes notice of Oaken, sitting behind the counter]
Oaken: Big summer blowout! Half off swimming suits, clogs, and a sun balm of my own invention, ja?
Princess Anna: ....Oh, great. For now, um, how about boots? Winter boots? A-And dresses?
Oaken: That vould be in our winter department. [Anna glances at the winter department, where there's almost nothing left]
Princess Anna: Oh... [She picks out the one pair of boots and dress that are still in stock] Um, I was just wondering, has another young woman--the Queen perhaps, I don't know--passed through here?
Oaken: Only one crazy enough to be out in this storm is you, dear.
[The door opens and Kristoff staggers in, completely covered in snow from head to toe. Anna stares at him like he's some kind of strange creature]
Oaken: ...You and this fellow? Hoo-hoo! [holds up his sunbalm] Big summer blowout! [Kristoff steps towards Anna, who starts humming nervously and leans back]
Kristoff Bjorgman: [muffled] Carrots.
Princess Anna: Huh? [Kristoff leans in, pretty much getting in Anna's face]
Kristoff Bjorgman: Behind you. [Anna sees Kristoff is gesturing to some carrots on a shelf below the counter]
Princess Anna: [smiles] Oh! Right! Excuse me. [She steps to the side. Kristoff grabs a bundle of carrots and places them on the counter]
Oaken: Oooh, a real howler in July, yes? Vherever could it be coming from?
Kristoff Bjorgman: The North Mountain. [As he says this, he picks up the rope and axe from the winter department shelves]
Princess Anna: The North Mountain? [Kristoff places his supplies down on the desk]
Oaken: That'll be 40.
Kristoff Bjorgman: Forty?! No, 10!
Oaken: Oh, dear, that's no good! See, zis is from our vinter stock, vhere the supply and demand have a big problem?
Kristoff Bjorgman: You want to talk about a "supply and demand" problem? I sell ice for a living! [Anna looks at Kristoff's sled parked outside, loaded with ice blocks]
Princess Anna: Ooh, that's a rough business to be in right now. I mean, that is really-- [Kristoff begins glaring at her. Anna clears her throat] Ahem, that's unfortunate.
Oaken: Still 40. But I vill throw in a visit to Oaken's Sauna. [He waves to the family currently occupying the sauna] Hoo-hoo! Hi, family!
Sauna Family: Hoo-hoo! [Anna waves at the family]
Kristoff Bjorgman: Ten's all I've got! Help me out!
Oaken: Okay. [He repositions the carrots in front of Kristoff's other supplies] Ten vill get you this, and no more.
Princess Anna: Okay, just tell me one thing: What was happening on the North Mountain? Did it seem... magical?
Kristoff Bjorgman: [removes his scarf, exasperated] YES! Now back up... while I deal with this crook here. [Oaken stands up, clearly offended at being called a crook]
Oaken: ...Vhat did you call me?
[Cuts to Oaken walking out the front door, carrying Kristoff over his shoulder]
Kristoff Bjorgman: Okay! Okay! I'm out! [Oaken effortlessly throws him through the air. Kristoff lands face first in the snow]
Oaken: Bye-bye! [Oaken goes back inside and slams the door shut behind him. Sven bolts up to Kristoff, begging for carrots]
Kristoff Bjorgman: No, Sven, I didn't get your carrots. [Sven moans] But I did find us a place to sleep, and it's free! [He points to the stable adjacent to the store. Meanwhile, Oaken returns to the counter]
Oaken: [cheerfully] I'm sorry about this violence. I vill add a quart of lutefisk so we have good feelings. [He places a jar of pickled lutefisk next to the rest of Anna's stuff] Just the outfit and the boots, ja?
Princess Anna: Uh....

[Kristoff has crashed in Oaken's stable and is strumming a lullaby to Sven]
Kristoff Bjorgman: ...Don't let the frostbite bite...
[The door suddenly flies open and Anna comes in]
Princess Anna: Nice duet. [Kristoff jumps]
Kristoff Bjorgman: Ah! [sees that it's just Anna, not Oaken] Oh, it's just you. What do you want?
Princess Anna: [sternly] I want you to take me up the North Mountain. [Kristoff sighs and falls back on a hay bale, putting his hat over his eyes to use as a sleep mask]
Kristoff Bjorgman: I don't take people places.
Princess Anna: Let me rephrase that. [Anna throws a sack at Kristoff] Take me up the North Mountain...please. [Kristoff looks in the sack and finds the rope and axe he tried to purchase] Look, I know how to stop this winter. [Kristoff sighs in defeat]
Kristoff Bjorgman: We leave at dawn. And you forgot the carrots for Sven. [Anna throws another sack at Kristoff. He finds it has the carrots]
Princess Anna: Oh, sorry! Sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't...[Anna clears her throat and puts her arms on her hips] We leave now. Right now.

[Anna and Kristoff are riding on Kristoff's sled]
Kristoff: Hang on! We like to go fast!
Princess Anna: I like fast! [She props her feet up on the "dashboard"]
Kristoff: Whoa, whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa! Get your feet down. This is fresh lacquer. Seriously, were you raised in a barn? [He spits on the spot where Anna had her feet propped up. Some of the spit gets in Anna's face]
Princess Anna: Ugh! No, I was raised in a castle!
Kristoff: Hmmm. So, uh tell me. What made the Queen go all ice-crazy?
Princess Anna: Oh, well, it was all my fault. I got engaged, but then she freaked out because I'd only just met him, you know, that day, and she said she wouldn't bless the marriage and-
Kristoff: Wait. You got engaged to someone you just met that day?
Princess Anna: Yeah. Anyway, I got mad ,and so she got mad and then she tried to walk away and I grabbed her glove-
Kristoff: HANG ON! You mean to tell me you got engaged to someone you just met that day?!
Princess Anna: Yes, pay attention! But the thing is, she wore the gloves all the time, so I just thought, "Maybe she has a thing about dirt!"
Kristoff: Didn't your parents ever warn you about strangers?
Princess Anna: .....Yyyyyyyyyeessss, they did. [She scoots slightly to the edge of the seat] But Hans is not a stranger!
Kristoff: Oh, yeah? What's his last name?
Princess Anna: [scoffs] Of-the-Southern-Isles!
Kristoff: What's his favorite food?
Princess Anna: Sandwiches.
Kristoff: Best friend's name?
Princess Anna: Probably John.
Kristoff: Eye color?
Princess Anna: Dreamy.
Kristoff: Foot size?
Princess Anna: Foot size doesn't matter!
Kristoff: Have you had a meal with him yet? What if you hate the way he eats? What if you hate the way he picks his nose?
Princess Anna: [disgusted] Picks his nose?
Kristoff: And eats it.
Princess Anna: [annoyed] Excuse me, sir, he is a prince. [beat]
Kristoff: All men do it.
Princess Anna: Ew! [scoffs] Look, it doesn't matter; it's true love.
Kristoff: Doesn't sound like true love.
Princess Anna: Are you some sort of love expert?
Kristoff: No, but... I have friends who are.
Princess Anna: You have friends who are love experts? I'm not buying it. [Sven suddenly comes to a stop]
Kristoff: Stop talking.
Princess Anna: No, no, no, no, no! I'd like to meet these-[Kristoff puts a hand over Anna's mouth]
Kristoff: No! I mean it.
Prnicess Anna: Mmmph! Mmmph! [Anna shoves his hand away from her mouth] But-
Kristoff: Ssshhh! [Kristoff scans the area behind them with his lantern. He sees a pack of hungry wolves slowly approaching them] Sven, go. Go!
Princess Anna: What are they.
Kristoff: Wolves.
Princess Anna: Wolves?

[Anna, Kristoff, and Sven are fleeing from hungry wolves]
Princess Anna: What do we do?!
Kristoff: I got this! Just... don't fall off and don't get eatenǃ
Princess Anna: But I wanna help!
Kristoff: No!
Princess Anna: Why not?
Kristoff: Because I don't trust your judgement.
Princess Anna: Excuse me?!
Kristoff: [kicks away a wolf] Who marries a man she just met? [Anna brandishes Kristoff's lute]
Princess Anna: [angrily] It's true love!
Kristoff: Whoa! [Anna swings the lute like it's a baseball bat to smack away a wolf] Whoa. [Another wolf grabs Kristoff and yanks him off the sled] WHOA!
Princess Anna: Christopher! [Kristoff is now being dragged behind the sled]
Kristoff: It's Kristoff! [Anna uses the lantern to light up the bedroll and tosses it]
Princess Anna: Duck! [The flaming bedroll takes down both wolves trying to bite Kristoff. Kristoff pulls himself back onto the sled]
Kristoff: You almost set me on fire!
Princess Anna: But I didn't.
[Anna pulls Kristoff back onto the sled. Their eyes suddenly go wide as they see a cliff up ahead]
Princess Anna: Get ready to jump, Sven!
Kristoff: You don't tell him what to do! [Kristoff shoves his satchel into Anna's arms and throws her onto Sven's back]
Princess Anna: Hey!
Kristoff: I do! [He cuts Sven's harness with his knife] Jump, Sven!
[Sven successfully clears the chasm and lands with Anna on the other side. Kristoff jumps from the sled halfway across and lands hands first. He looks down just as his sled hits the bottom of the cliff and bursts into flames]
Kristoff: No! But I just paid it off! Uh-oh! No, no. Ah! No, no, no, no, no, no!
Anna: Grab on. Pull, Sven, pull.

[Anna and Kristoff have escaped the wolves, but Kristoff's sled has fallen into the gorge and exploded]
Princess Anna: Whoa. I'll replace your sled, and--and everything in it. And I understand if you don't want to help me anymore.
[Anna glances one time and slowly walks around mumbling to herself, while Sven nudges Kristoff]
Kristoff: Ugh. Of course I don't want to help her anymore! In fact, this whole thing has ruined me for helping anyone ever again!
Princess Anna: Is it this way or....?
Kristoff: [as Sven] She'll die on her own. [as himself] I can live with that. [as Sven] But you won't get your new sled if she's dead. [as himself] Sometimes I really don't like you. [turns to Anna] Hold up! We're coming.
Princess Anna: You are? I mean, sure! I'll let you tag along.

[Anna and Kristoff are walking through a forest with Sven. Anna looks awestruck at the beauty of the landscape]
Princess Anna: I never knew winter could be so beautiful.
Olaf: [offscreen] Yeah, it really is beautiful, isn't it? [Anna and Kristoff both look at Sven as if they think he's the one talking] But it's so white. How about a little color? I'm thinking, like, maybe some crimson, chartreuse... [Olaf wanders up behind Anna and Kristoff] 'bout yellow? No, not yellow. Yellow and snow? Brrr! No go.
[Olaf laughs. Anna and Kristoff finally notice his presence. Anna gasps]
Olaf: Am I right?
Princess Anna: AAAH! [Anna kicks Olaf's head off. Olaf's head lands in Kristoff's hands]
Olaf: Hi.
Kristoff: You're creepy. [tosses the head back to Anna]
Princess Anna: I don't want it! [tosses the head back to Kristoff]
Kristoff: Back at you!
Olaf: Whoa! Please don't drop me! [Olaf's lower body is running around like a headless chicken as Anna and Kristoff play hot potato with his head]
Kristoff: Come on, it's just a head!
Princess Anna: No!
Olaf: All right, we got off to a bad start.
Princess Anna: Ew, ew! The body! [Anna throws Olaf's head at his lower body. He slides back, and stands up, his head on upside down]
Olaf: Wait, what am I looking at right now? Why are you hanging off the earth like a bat?
Princess Anna: All right, wait one second. [Anna takes Olaf's head off and puts it on right side up]
Olaf: Oh! Thank you.
Princess Anna: You're welcome.
Olaf: Now I'm perfect! [Anna smiles]
Princess Anna: Well, almost.
Olaf: [to Kristoff] It was like my whole life got turned upside down. [Anna grabs a carrot and tries to place it on Olaf's face tail first. It goes all the way through, save for the tip]
Princess Anna: Oh! I'm sorry!
Olaf: WHOOǃ Head rush!
Princess Anna: Are you okay?
Olaf: Are you kidding me? I... am wonderful! I've always wanted a nose. It's so cute. It's like a little baby unicorn. [Anna pushes the carrot through Olaf's head] Oh, hey whoaǃ Oh, I love it even moreǃ All right, let's start this thing over: Hi, everyone. I'm Olaf. And I like warm hugs.
Princess Anna: Olaf? [friendly] That's right! Olaf!
Olaf: And you are...?
Princess Anna: Oh... I'm Anna.
Olaf: [points to Kristoff] And who's the funky-looking donkey over there?
Princess Anna: [thinks Olaf is referring to Sven] That's Sven.
Olaf: [points to Sven] Uh-huh. And who's the reindeer?
Princess Anna: [confused] ...Sven?
Olaf: Oh, they're bo- Oh! Okay. Makes things easier for me. [Sven tries to bite Olaf's carrot nose] Whoa! Oh, look at him, trying to kiss my nose. I like you, too!
Princess Anna: Olaf, did Elsa build you?
Olaf: Yeah, why?
Princess Anna: Do you know where she is?
Kristoff: [takes one of Olaf's twig arms and examines it] Fascinating.
Olaf: Yeah, why?
Princess Anna: Do you think you could show us the way?
Olaf: Yeah, why?
Kristoff: [still examining Olaf's arm] How does this work? [The arm slaps him] OW!
Olaf: [snatches the arm and puts it back in his body] Stop it, Sven! Trying to focus here. [back to Anna] Yeah, why?
Kristoff: I'll tell you why: We need Elsa to bring back summer.
Olaf: Summer?
Princess Anna: M-hm.
Olaf: [excited] Oh, I don't know why, but I've always loved the idea of summer, and sun, and all things hot...
Kristoff: Really? I guess you don't have much experience with heat.
Olaf: Nope! But sometimes I like to close my eyes and imagine what it'd be like when summer does come. Ahh...

[Olaf is singing "In Summer" and fantasizing about what summer might bring to him, unaware that he'll melt in the heat]
Kristoff: I'm gonna tell him.
Princess Anna: Don't you dare. [Olaf belts out a high note]
Olaf: In summer! [speaking] So, come on! Elsa's this way. Let's go bring back summer!
Princess Anna: I'm coming. [Anna starts following Olaf, as does Sven. Kristoff continues to stare at Olaf, looking horrified]
Kristoff: Somebody's gotta tell him.

Kristoff: So how exactly are you planning to stop this weather?
Princess Anna: Oh, I am gonna talk to my sister.
Kristoff: That's your plan? My ice business is riding on you talking to your sister?
Princess Anna: Yup. [Kristoff suddenly walks into the end of an icicle, which nearly pokes his nose]
Kristoff: So you're not at all afraid of her?
Princess Anna: Why would I be?
Olaf: Yeah. I bet she's the nicest, gentlest, warmest person ever. [He walks right into an icicle that impales him through his middle third] Oh, look at that. I've been impaled. [he laughs]

[Anna and Kristoff come across a rocky cliff]
Princess Anna: What now?
Kristoff: Mm. It's too steep. I've only got one rope and you don't know how to climb mountains.
Princess Anna: Says who? [Kristoff looks up to see Anna trying to climb up the rock face by herself]
Kristoff: What are you doing?
Princess Anna: I' sister!
Kristoff: You're gonna kill yourself. I wouldn't put my foot there. [Anna's foot slips]
Princess Anna: You're distracting me!
Kristoff: Or there. How do you know Elsa even wants to see you?
Princess Anna: Alright, I'm...I'm just blocking you out cause I've gotta concentrate here. [Anna slips again]
Kristoff: You know, most people who disappear into the mountains want to be alone.
Princess Anna: Nobody wants to be alone! Except maybe you!
Kristoff: I'm not alone! I have friends, remember?
Princess Anna: Ugh! You mean the love experts?
Kristoff: Yes, the love experts. [Anna finds a foothold for her left foot]
Princess Anna: Urgh! Please tell me I'm almost there!
[The camera cuts to a wide angle to show that Anna is barely four feet off the ground]
Princess Anna: [panting] Does the air seem a bit thin to you up here?
Kristoff: [chuckles] Hang on.
Olaf: Hey, Sven? [Olaf shows up] Not sure if this is gonna solve the problem, but I found a staircase that leads exactly where you want it to go.
Princess Anna: Ha-ha! Thank goodness! Catch! [She jumps and Kristoff catches her] Thanks! That was like a crazy trust exercise.

[Anna and Kristoff gaze in amazement at Elsa's ice palace]
Princess Anna: Whoa!
Kristoff: Now that's ice! [tears begin to well up in his eyes] I might cry.
Princess Anna: Go ahead. I won't judge. [While Olaf trots up the stairs, Anna right behind him, Sven tries to follow and his feet slip on the icy staircase]
Kristoff: All right, take it easy, boy. Come here, I gotcha. Okay. You stay right here buddy. Flawless.

[Anna steps nervously up to the front doors of Elsa's ice castle]
Olaf: Knock. Just knock. Why isn't she knocking? [to Kristoff] Do you think she doesn't know how to knock? [Anna taps her fist on the door three times. The doors slowly open inwards]
Princess Anna: Ha! It opened! That's a first. [to Kristoff and Olaf] Oh, you should probably wait out here.
Kristoff: What?ǃ
Princess Anna: The last time I introduced her to a guy, she froze everything...
Kristoff: But--but---Oh, come on! It's a palace made of ice! Ice is my life!
Olaf: Bye, Sven! [He starts to enter, but Anna grabs him by the arm]
Princess Anna: You too, Olaf.
Olaf: What, me?
Princess Anna: Just give us a minute. [Kristoff sits on the top step, looking pretty dejected]
Olaf: Okay! [starts counting] One, two, three.
Both: Four.

[Anna steps inside Elsa's ice castle. The doors shut behind her. She stares at her surroundings with a look of incredulity]
Princess Anna: Whoa. Elsa? It's me, Anna! Whoa! [She slips, but stops herself from falling]
Queen Elsa: Anna? [Elsa appears at the top of the entry staircase, smiling warmly. Anna's gaze quickly shifts to Elsa's ice dress]
Princess Anna: Whoa, Elsa, you look... different! It's a good different! And this place, it's-- it's amazing!
Queen Elsa: Thank you. I never knew what I was capable of.
Princess Anna: [starts up the staircase] I'm so sorry about what happened. If I'd have known-- [Elsa starts instinctively backing away]
Queen Elsa: No-no-no, it's okay. You--you don't have to apologize, but you should probably go. Please.
Princess Anna: But I just got here.
Queen Elsa: You belong down in Arendelle.
Princess Anna: So do you!
Queen Elsa: No, Anna, I belong here, alone. Where I can be who I am... without hurting anybody.
Princess Anna: [grimaces] Actually, about that-
Olaf: [off-screen] Fifty-eight, fifty-nine, sixty!
Queen Elsa: Wait. What is that? [Olaf enters and runs across the entry foyer to stand next to Anna]
Olaf: Hi! I'm Olaf, and I like warm hugs!
Queen Elsa: [surprised] Olaf?
Olaf: You built me! Remember that?
Queen Elsa: And you're alive?
Olaf: Yeah, um......I think so? [Elsa takes a secondary look at her hands]
Princess Anna: [kneels down beside Olaf] He's just like the one we built as kids.
Queen Elsa: [smiles] Yeah.
Princess Anna: Oh, Elsa, we were so close. We can be like that again.
[Elsa smiles, but suddenly the memory of her accidentally hurting Anna when she was eight years old comes rushing back to her; she turns away]
Queen Elsa: No, we can't. Goodbye, Anna. [heads upstairs]
Princess Anna: Elsa, wait!
Queen Elsa: I'm just trying to protect you!
Princess Anna: You don't have to protect me! I'm not afraid!

[After Elsa accidentally hits Anna in the chest with her ice powers, she gasps]
Kristoff: [offscreen] Anna! [Rushes to help Anna up] Are you okay?
Anna: [Weakly] I'm okay. [gets up] I'm fine.
Elsa: [Frantically looks at Kristoff] Who's this? [Waves off] Wait, it doesn't matter. Just-- You have to go.
Anna: [Pleading] No! I know we can figure this out together.
Elsa: [Desperate] How? [The ice walls darken and start to crack] What power do you have to stop this winter? To stop me?
Kristoff: [Notices the walls; Grabs Anna] Anna, I think we should go.
Anna: [Shakes Kristoff off] No! I'm not leaving without you, Elsaǃ
Elsa: [With firm finality] Yes. You are.
[She creates Marshmallow. Cuts to Marshmallow carrying Anna, Kristoff and Olaf in his hands]

[Marshmallow is tossing Anna, Kristoff and Olaf out of Elsa's castle]
Olaf: Heads up! [Marshmallow tosses Olaf and his head lands first in a snowbank near Anna and Kristoff] Watch out for my butt! [Anna and Kristoff duck as the rest of Olaf's body slams into the snowbank. Anna begins making a snowball]
Anna: It is not nice throw people! [Kristoff grabs hold of her]
Kristoff: Whoa, whoa, whoa, feisty pants! Okay, relax. Just calm down! Calm down!
Anna: Okay! Alright! I'm okay!
Kristoff: Just let the snowman be!
Anna: I'm calm. [Kristoff lets her go and turns]
Kristoff: Great.
[Anna suddenly yells and tosses the snowball at Marshmallow. This naturally provokes him]
Kristoff: Oh, come on! See?! Now you made him mad!
Olaf: I'll distract him. You guys go!
[Kristoff, Anna and Sven run off, at the same time the rest of Olaf's body falls off the snowbank and runs away]
Olaf: No, no! Not you guys!
[Marshmallow goes after Anna and Kristoff, and as he walks off, Olaf's head falls down into the snow]
Olaf: This just got a whole lot harder.

[Olaf is running from Marshmallow. He emerges from the trees in a jumbled mess]
Olaf: Man, am I out of shape! [he stops to take a breather and get himself reassembled properly] There we go. Hey, Anna! Sven! Where'd you guys go?ǃ We totally lost Marshmallow back there! [On cue, Marshmallow roars and emerges from the trees] Hey! We were just talking about you! All good things, all good things... [Marshmallow roars and takes a step forward] NO! [Marshmallow stomps forward and Olaf jumps onto his leg to stop him] This is not making much of a difference, is it?!

Anna: Hey, you were right. Just like a pillow. Olaf.
Olaf: [hysterically fiddles with Kristoff's boots] I can't feel my legs! I can't feel my legs!
Kristoff: [emerges from the snow, coughing] Those are my legs!
Olaf: [as his lower body runs by] Ooh, do me a favor and grab my buttǃ [Kristoff grabs Olaf's lower body and puts the rest of him on top] Ah, that feels better. [Sven appears] Hey, Sven, you found us. [pets Sven] You’re my cute little reindeer.
Kristoff: Don’t talk me like that.
Olaf: [laughs] Oh that tickles me.

[After Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf survive falling off a cliff]
Kristoff: Here.
Anna: Whoa!
Kristoff: Are you okay.
Anna: [to Kristoff] Thank you. How's your head?
[She lightly touches his head; he reacts in pain but tries to shake it off]
Kristoff: It's fine. I'm good. I've got a thick skull.
Olaf: I don't have a skull. Or bones.
Kristoff: So, uh... So, now what?
Anna: Now what? [realizes] Now what?! Ohh, what am I gonna do?ǃ She threw me out! I can't go back to Arendelle with the weather like this! And then there's your ice business, and--
Kristoff: Hey, hey, hey, don't worry about my ice business. [sees Anna's hair] Worry about your hair!
Anna: [not realizing] What? I just fell off a cliff, you should see your hair!
Kristoff: No, yours is turning white!
Anna: White? It's-- [looks down at one of her braids, surprised] What?!
Kristoff: It's because she struck you, isn't it?
Anna: Does it look bad?
Kristoff: No.
Olaf: You hesitated.
Kristoff: No! I-I didn't! Anna, you need help, okay? Come on.
Olaf: Okay, where are we going.

[Kristoff leads the gang to a large pile of rocks]
Kristoff: Meet my family. [He and Sven walks toward the rocks] Hey, guys!
Anna: [Stunned] They're... rocks.
Kristoff: [off in the distance] You are a sight for sore eyes.
Olaf: [Also stunned, whispers to Anna] He's craaaazy.
Kristoff: Hey, whoa, I didn't recognize you; you've lost so much weight.
Olaf: [Whispers] I'll distract him while you run. [Loud, slow voice to the rocks] Hi, Sven's family! It's nice to meet you. [Whispers to Anna] Because I love you, Anna, I insist you run. [To the rocks again] I understand you're love experts. Ooh! [Whispers to Anna] Why aren't you running?!
Anna: Uh... okay, well, I’m gonna go.
Olaf: Go.
Kristoff: No, no, Anna, wait.

[Elsa has been locked up in the dungeon of the castle. She strains to look at the view from the window]
Elsa: [dismayed] Oh, no... What have I done? [Hans enters the dungeon] Why did you bring me here?
Hans: I just couldn't let them kill you.
Elsa: But I'm a danger to Arendelle. Get Anna!
Hans: Anna has not returned. If you would just stop the winter, bring back summer. Please?
Elsa: [desperate] Don't you see? I can't! You have to tell them to let me go!
Hans: [resigned] I will do what I can.
[He exits the dungeon, leaving Elsa distraught]

[Kristoff is taking Anna back to Arendelle so Anna can receive a kiss from Hans, with Olaf sliding along]
Olaf: Oh, boy. I’ll meet you guys at the castle.
Kristoff: Stay out of sight, Olaf!
Olaf: [still sliding on his belly; enthusiastically] I will! [slides into the village instead; offscreen] Hello! [A woman screams]
Woman: It's alive!

Woman: Oh, you poor girl, you're freezing. Oh, let's get you inside now and get you warm.

Hans: What happened out there.
Anna: Elsa struck me with the powers.
Hans: You said she never hurt you.
Anna: I was wrong.
Hans: Anna!
Anna: She froze my heart and only an act of true love can save me.
Hans: A true love kiss.
[Hans and a weakened Anna lean in to kiss. But then Hans stops and smiles maliciously]
Hans: Oh, Anna. If only there was someone out there who loved you.
Anna: [shocked] What...? [turns to see him walking to a window] You said you did.
Hans: [closing the curtains] As thirteenth in line in my own kingdom, I didn't stand a chance. I knew I'd have to marry into the throne somewhere...
Anna: What are you talking about?
Hans: [puts out a candle] As heir, Elsa was preferable, of course, but no one was getting anywhere with her. But you...
Anna: Hans?
Hans: You were so desperate for love, you were willing to marry me, just like that! [picks up a pitcher of water and goes to the fireplace] I figured after we married, I'd have to stage a little accident for Elsa.
[He pours water onto the fire, extinguishing it. Anna reaches out to stop him, but collapses onto the floor]
Anna: Hans, no! Stop!
Hans: But then she doomed herself, and you were dumb enough to go after her.
Anna: Please...
Hans: [chuckles] All that's left now is to... kill Elsa and bring back summer.
Anna: [angrily] You're no match for Elsa.
Hans: No, you're no match for Elsa. I, on the other hand, am the hero [puts on his glove] who is going to save Arendelle from destruction. [walks to the door]
Anna: [angrily yet weakly] You won't get away with this!
Hans: Oh... I already have.
[He leaves, locking the door behind him. Anna tries to open the door but is too weak as she continues to freeze.]
Anna: Please! Somebody help! Oh! [The rest of her hair turns white, she shivers] Please... Please...
[Anna crumbles down to the floor]

[As Anna is lying on the floor and freezing to death, Olaf starts a fire for her.]
Anna: Olaf! Get away from thereǃ
Olaf: [amazed] Whoa! So this is heat? I love itǃ [A piece of the fire flies onto his finger.] Ooh! But don't touch it! [Olaf runs up to Anna and carries her to the fire.] So, where's Hans? What happened to your kiss?
Anna: I was wrong about him. It wasn't true love.
Olaf: But we ran all the way here.
Anna: Please, Olaf. You can't stay here. You'll melt.
Olaf: I am not leaving here until we find some other act of true love to save you. [sits down next to Anna] Do you happen to have any ideas?
Anna: I don't even know what love is.
Olaf: That's okay. I do. [stroking Anna's shoulder] Love is...putting someone else's needs before yours, like, you know, how Kristoff brought you back here to Hans and left you forever.
Anna: [surprised] Kristoff... loves me?
Olaf: [walks in front of Anna] Wow. You really don't know anything about love, do you? [Olaf's carrot nose begins to fall off his face. But he realigns it.]
Anna: Olaf, you're melting!
Olaf: Some people are worth melting for. [Anna smiles, but then Olaf's head starts to melt. He grabs it just in time.] Just maybe not right this second. [The window open and hears the winds] Ah! Don’t worry I got it!

[Hans catches up to Elsa in the storm on the frozen fjord]
Hans: ELSA! You can't run from this!
Elsa: Just take care of my sister!
Hans: Your sister? She returned from the mountain weak and cold! She said that you froze her heart!
Elsa: No...!
Hans: I tried to save her but it was too late! Her skin was ice, her hair turned white... Your sister is dead! Because of you.
Elsa: No...
[Elsa turns around and drops to the ground in grief; the blizzard stops]

[Anna, very weak, struggles to move across the fjord. She suddenly hears the sound of a sword being drawn]
Anna: [whispers] Elsa? [realizes Hans is about to kill Elsa, and uses her final ounce of strength to throw herself in front of Elsa] NOOO!
[Anna freezes to solid ice, Hans' sword hits her fingers and shatters, the brute force is enough to knock Hans out cold]
Elsa: ANNA! [gets up and touches Anna's frozen face] Oh, Anna... No, no, please... No.
[Elsa realizes what has happened, throws her arms around the frozen Anna, and begins to cry]
Olaf: Anna?
[Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, and all of the dignitaries in Arendelle mourn the death of Anna. Suddenly, Anna thaws and comes back to life, her hair returns to its normal color]
Elsa: [surprised] Anna?
[The sisters hug]
Anna: Oh, Elsa.
Elsa: You sacrificed yourself for me?
Anna: [smiles] I love you.
Olaf: [gasps, realizing something] An act of true love can heal a frozen heart!
Elsa: [also realizing something] Love will course!
Anna! Elsa?
Elsa: Love!
[Elsa begins to thaw Arendelle]

Anna: [after Elsa brings back summer] I knew you could do it.
Olaf: [as he begins to melt] Hands down, this is the best day of my life! And quite possibly the last...
Elsa: Oh, Olaf! Hang on, little guy. [uses her magic to recreate Olaf and gives him a cloud that produces flurries]
Olaf: [gasps] My own personal FLURRY! [giggles]

[Hans, weakened, slowly gets up]
Anna: [to Kristoff, as he moves to hit Hans for what he did to Anna] Ah, ah, ah! [walks to Hans]
Hans: [shocked] Anna? But she froze your heart.
Anna: The only frozen heart around here is yours. [turns around, but whips around and punches Hans in the face, who falls into the water]

[Hans is tossed and locked up in a cell by the guards.]
French Ambassador: I will return this scoundrel to his country. We shall see what his twelve big brothers think of his behavior.
Kai: Arendelle thanks you, my lord.
Duke of Weselton: [furious as he is being lead to his own ship] This is unacceptable, I am a victim of fear. I've been traumatized! [tries to feign being a victim of fear from Hans' manipulation] Oww, my neck hurts. Is there a doctor that I can see? [finds out that no one believes him] No, I demand to see the Queen!
Kai: Oh, I have a message from the Queen. [opens a documented scroll] Arendelle will henceforth and forever no longer do business of any sort with Weasel Town.
Duke of Weselton: [irritated] Weselton! It's Weselton!

[Anna leads a blindfolded Kristoff to the dock, and then she takes off the blindfold, revealing a new sled, with a new lute in it]
Anna: I owe you a sled.
Kristoff: [Surprised] Are you serious?
Anna: [Excited] YES! [Normal] And it's the latest modelǃ
Kristoff: No, I can't accept this.
Anna: You have toǃ No returns, no exchanges; Queen's orders. She's named you the official Arendelle Ice Master and Deliverer.
Kristoff: What? That's not a thing.
Anna: Oh, sure it is. [About the sled] And it even has a cup holder. Do you like it?
Kristoff: Like it? [Happily picks up Anna and twirls her around] I LOVE IT! I could kiss you! [Puts Anna down, embarrassed] Uh-- I could. I mean, I'd like to. I-- May I? We me... May we? Wait, what?
Anna: [Kisses his cheek] We may.
[She and Kristoff kiss]

[Last lines]
[Anna approaches Elsa after she made an ice rink]
Anna: I like the open gatesǃ
Elsa: We are never closing them again. [then turns Anna's boots into skates with her ice powers]
Anna: Oh, Elsa, they're beautiful, but you know I don't skateǃ
Elsa: Oh, come on! [pulls Anna to get her to skate] You can do it!
Kristoff: [he and Sven are skating by the two girls] Look out, reindeer coming through!
Anna: [Skating] I got it, I got it. [Starts slipping] I don't got it, I don't got it!
Olaf: [Approaches] Hey, guys! [Helps Anna back up by bumping into her]
Anna: Thanks, Olaf. [She, Elsa, and Olaf start skating in a line]
Olaf: That's itǃ Glide and pivot! Glide and pivot!

About Frozen (2013 film)Edit

  • It’s been overwhelming, the year. We still get Youtube sent to us. I mean, I got one just yesterday…It’s actually very funny. Um, so I just, It’s been overwhelming. It really has. Starting with the Reddit… Round table. Reddit round table is where a woman wrote in saying, um, that she was, uh, in a bad place and was gonna commit suicide, and saw Frozen and inspired by Elsa and, and her journey, and she said, and I’m still here. Thank you. So, you know, we’re overwhelmed by that.
There are autistic kids that watch Frozen that parents tell us they hadn’t… They don’t sit still for anything, and they watch Frozen, and they relate to Olaf. Um, just a few weeks ago, uh, a friend of ours working at a nursing home, and a senior citizen just, she wasn’t really [STAMMERS] She sort of internal and not doing much. And she watched Frozen. And then she started drawing again. ‘Cause she used to draw when she was younger. And she was drawing the Frozen characters. And just, and her husband was just so grateful she was coming back to life. So you get those are the stories that we go oh wow. And that’s how I think our life has changed. Sort of seeing what… We always knew that these films had some influence and power. But this one certainly I’ve never experienced anything like this. So you really do…
  • Well, our art director knew it would be a Scandinavian area. He was just going through books, and, he’d seen a lot of internet stuff too. He was posting all these pages on Scandinavia you know, beautiful scenery and architecture, and almost all the post-its were Norway. So he said okay. Well, you know, we need our trip to Norway. Now we don’t say that it’s set in Norway. But it helps to have something specific to kind of draw from. So it makes the world very believable. And there are ideas in Norway, we’d never have come up with on our own, the, the stave church, which was very beautiful.
