Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical role-playing video game developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch in 2019 as the sixteenth entry in the Fire Emblem series. The game is set on Fódlan, divided between three ruling powers–the Adrestian Empire, the Kingdom of Faerghus, and the Leicester Alliance–all connected through the Church of Seiros, which houses an officer's academy attended by students from each nation. Players assume the role of Byleth, a former mercenary and the academy's newest professor, and must guide their students through a series of battles.

Part I: White Clouds

Prologue: An Inevitable Encounter

Sothis: Honestly! What are you accomplishing with that little stunt? It's like you're trying to get me killed, you fool! Well, it's fine. After all, if you don't know the value of your own life, you're not going to protect it very well, are you? Course not. Well then, I guess it's up to me to guide you from now on. Right? You can call me Sothis, but I'm also known as "The Beginning."

Dimitri: This will be your first time at the monastery. I'd be happy to show you around.

Claude: It really is Fódlan in a nutshell. The good and the bad.

Edelgard: Like it or not, we'll be there soon enough.

Chapter 3: Mutiny in the Mist

Lonato: It's you... Thunderstrike Cassandra! It was your wretched zealotry that killed my son!

Catherine: The only name I answer to is Catherine. Prepare to taste the blade of one who serves the goddess. Now you face a Knight of Seiros!

Chapter 7: Field of the Eagle and Lion

Dimitri: You all should know, I am not about to go easy on you today.

Claude: As long as we can pull off the win, doesn't matter how.

Edelgard: Our victory must be absolute, no matter what it may take.

Seteth: It is time.

Edelgard: Forward, now!

Dimitri: For honor!

Chapter 9: The Cause of Sorrow

Jeralt: Run along now.

Monica: Thanks for all your help, sir!

[Monica walks innocently behind Jeralt, then stabs him in the back as Byleth watches.]

Monica: You're just a pathetic old man. How dare you get in the way of my brilliant plan, you dog.

[Shocked, Byleth activates Divine Pulse and appears before Jeralt was stabbed.]

Jeralt: Run along now.

Monica: Thanks for all your help, sir!

[Byleth attacks Monica with the Sword of the Creator, but is blocked by a mysterious figure. Jeralt is still stabbed by her.]

Monica: Huh? What are you doing here?

Thales: You must survive. Merely because there is still a role that I require you to fulfill.

[Thales takes Monica and teleports away. Byleth runs to Jeralt, now collapsed on the ground.]

Jeralt: Sorry...it looks like...I'm going to have to leave you now.

[Jeralt notices that Byleth starts to cry.]

Jeralt: To think that the first time I saw you cry, your tears would be for me. It's sad, and yet...I'm happy for it. Thank you...kid.

Chapter 10: Where the Goddess Dwells

Sothis: Your will and mine are now as one. Both sides of time are revealed to you, and you alone. You know I am the Beginning. What shall you do?

Chapter 11: Throne of Knowledge

[Dimitri is maniacally laughing at the sight of the Flame Emperor being revealed to be Edelgard.]

Dimitri: Is this some kind of twisted joke?!

[He stops laughing and begins walking towards her.]

Dimitri: I've been looking for you. I will take that head from your shoulders, and hang it from the gates of Enbarr!

Part II: Silver Snow

Players go through this route if they joined the Black Eagles and sided with Rhea in Chapter 11.

Chapter 13: Reunion at Dawn

Edelgard: Even though our swords may cross as they do now, there's no denying that our chosen paths never will. Goodbye, my teacher. When next we meet, one of us will breathe their last.

Chapter 19: Conclusion of the Crossing Roads

Edelgard: It looks as though...my path...will end here. My teacher...claim your victory. Strike me down. You must! Even now, across this land, people are killing each other! If you do not act now, this conflict...will go on forever. Your path...lies across my grave. It is time for you to find the courage to walk it. If I must fall...let it be by your hand. I wanted...to walk with you...

Part II: Crimson Flower

Players go through this route if they joined the Black Eagles and sided with Edelgard in Chapter 11.

Chapter 18: To the End of a Dream

Edelgard: When humanity stands strong and people reach out for each other, there's no need for gods. Rhea, your reign of tyranny is over. The time has come. I'm ending this once and for all!

Part II: Azure Moon

Players go through this route if they joined the Blue Lions.

Chapter 17: Blood of the Eagle and Lion

Dimitri: Know that I will tear your heads from your shoulders. The dead must have their tribute.

Claude: As big class reunions go, this one's gotta be the worst in history.

Edelgard: Years ago, we fought here as classmates...but not today.

Dimitri: Kill every last one of them!

Edelgard: And so we fight on.

Part II: Verdant Wind

Players go through this route if they joined the Golden Deer.

Chapter 13: Reunion at Dawn

Claude: You overslept, Teach! What's with that suprised look, my friend? You didn't really think I'd given up on you coming back, did you? Can you feel it? A new dawn is finally here. Not just for us though. No, for all of Fódlan.

Chapter 17: Blood of the Eagle and Lion

Dimitri: Know that I will tear your heads from your shoulders. The dead must have their tribute.

Claude: As big class reunions go, this one's gotta be the worst in history.

Edelgard: Years ago, we fought here as classmates...but not today.

Dimitri: Kill every last one of them!

Edelgard: And so we fight on.

Chapter 18: The Golden Scheme

Nader: I see your skills haven't dulled yet, kiddo.

Claude: What did you expect? Everyone, listen up! From now on, the Almyran forces will be fighting by our side! We'll work as one! And we will bring down that fort together!

Chapter 22: Fódlan's New Dawn

Nemesis: You are a foolish child.

Claude: Tough talk from the guy who's lived too long. Allow me to fix that!

Nemesis: You are all pathetic weaklings! You lack the courage to challenge me in lone combat.

Claude: Yet we have the strength to scale the walls between us, to reach out our hands in friendship, so we can open our true hearts to one another! That's how we win!

Claude: Future historians will refer to this day as the new dawn of Fódlan. Of that, I have no doubt. It's up to you now, Teach. As for my path....
