English: Beatus Vir by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki conducted by Włodzimierz Siedlik (Main Square). The psalm was commissioned by the then Krakow Cardinal Karol Wojtyła on the occasion of the 900th anniversary of the martyrdom of the bishop Stanislaus. Henryk Mikołaj Górecki composed Beatus Vir after Karol Wojtyła became Pope. The concert will include also 3 other works by the composer “Pod Twoją Obronę”, “Na Anioł Pański biją dzwony” and “Totus Tuus”.
