Summary

Description
English: To prepare a translation of Dag Hammarskjöld's book "Road Signs", the British author W. H. Auden came to Stockholm. Auden and Hammarskjöld were personal friends and the Swede himself had expressed a desire to have Auden as a translator for an English edition. The poet so famous in the western world is strangely unknown in Sweden, but that he should be a congenial interpreter of Hammarskjöld is evident from the fact that he has held the chair in poetry in Oxford.
