Doyle: You do know how to fly a glider, right?
Jack: No, but I learn real fast when people are shootin' at me.

Doyle: You'll need to use a demo charge.
Jack: Oh, good thing I remembered to pack a few of those.
Doyle: Don't be difficult.

Doyle: What did you do?
Jack: I could tell you, but it's more fun to let you wonder.
Addi Mbantuwe: Seth Uniya is the worst kind of man in this world. He himself does not kill, but teaches others how to make roadside bombs. The world does not need men such as he, I am sure you will agree. The man thinks he is safe because he is a teacher. I seriously doubt he will survive the week. That is because *you* are on the job. You are going to walk in there like a big man and take him out. The UFLL can be very generous. Good money always.

The Jackal: You can't break a man the way you break a dog, or a horse. The harder you beat a man, the taller he stands. To break a man's will, to break his spirit, you have to break his mind. Men have this idea that we can fight with dignity, that there's a proper way to kill someone. It's absurd, its anesthetic, we need it to endure the bloody horror of murder. You must destroy that idea. Show them what a messy, terrible, thing it is to kill a man, and then show them that you relish in it. Shoot to wound, and then execute the wounded, burn them, take them in close combat. Destroy their preconceptions of what a man is and you become their personal monster. When they fear you, you become stronger, you become better. But let's never forget, it's a display, it's a posture, like a lions roar, or a gorilla thumping at his chest. If you lose yourself in the display, if you succumb to the horror, then you become the monster. You become reduced, not more than a man, but less. And it could be fatal.
Vaas: You are angry, Jason. You... are angry. Okay, I get that... I get it. I mean, without family, who the fuck are we? There was a time I would do anything for my sister, you know? First time I ever killed was for my sister. But that was not enough for her-- No, no, no, no, no, please. You see the thing about our loved ones, right? OUR FUCKING LOVED ONCE, THEY COME AND THEY BLINDSIDE YOU EVERY FUCKING TIME! So they say to me... they say, "Vaas! Vaas! WHO THE FUCK IS IT GOING TO BE: THEM OR ME? MEEEEE? OR THEM?" [laughing] Like... like you know... like they fucking think that I need to make a fucking choice! By the way, this lighter... really sucks.

Vaas: Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same fucking thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change... That... is... crazy. The first time somebody told me that, I dunno, I thought they were bullshitting me, so, boom... I shot him! The thing is... He was right. And then I started seeing, everywhere I looked, everywhere I looked all these fucking pricks, everywhere I looked, doing the exact same fucking thing... over and over and over and over again thinking: "This time is gonna be different-- No, no, no, please...! This time is gonna be different." I'm sorry... I don't like... the way... [Punches crate aside violently. His agitation towards the player character is visibly growing] ...you are looking at me! Okay? Do you have a fucking problem in your head?! Do you think I am bullshitting you?! Do you think I am lying? FUCK YOU! Okay? Fuck... you! It's okay, man. I'm gonna chill, hermano. I'm gonna chill... The thing is... Alright, the thing is I killed you once already... and it's not like I am fucking crazy. It's okay... It's like water under the bridge. Did I ever tell you the definition... of insanity?

[Hoyt Volker enters the stage, on which there is a cage containing a prisoner]
Hoyt: Ah. My rosy-cheeked new employees. I’m not going to lie, we’re all here to make a buck. But it’s the happiness of my people that gets me up each morning. My father, rest his soul, was a diamond miner. Got up at the crack of dawn each morning, smoked a cigarette and down into the earth he went. For that wonderful, wonderful man, the company was God. I bring that same reverence to my humble business here. And I expect all of you to do the same.
Now, there are only three company rules you have to follow. First, protect my product. You can fuck them, boys, but be gentle. Second, kill any native on sight. And, finally, all profits go to me. I’m an understanding boss, but if you break one of these rules-
[lights a match and sets the cage on fire]
I roast you in the furnace till your skin crackles like chicken.
Right, enough talk. Those savages want to destroy my life’s work. My pride and joy. Show them we mean business. Ah, I almost forgot, we have a special this month: your very own island for the head of Jason Brody.
[opening scene]
Mary May Fairgrave: Montana... Big Sky Country... The Treasure State... People got a lot of names for it. I just call it home.
Pastor Jerome Jefferies: Lived here my whole life. Still amazed at how beautiful it is.
Nick Rye: Maybe that's what blinded us to how ugly the people were gettin'.
[Cell phone camera footage entering a chapel with an armed guard at the door.]
Jerome: You don't understand. No one took these groups seriously.
Nick: They were different. Religious. Militant. It was a goddamn cult.
Joseph Seed: [on cell phone camera] The Collapse is upon us, my children.
Mary May: They started buying up every farm for miles. Then the radio station. Not long after that they even had the fuckin' cops.
Jerome: ...their own sovereign religious state. Built right here, under our noses.
Nick: Ain't no one coming to help us. Government can't do shit. We're on our own.
Joseph: [on cell phone camera] God demands we save those lost souls whether they want to be saved or not.
Mary May: People don't want to believe groups like this exist.
Nick: People are scared, man.
Joseph: [on cell phone camera] ...and some will wish to harm us... Some will wish to destroy all that we have built here together. [camera zooms in on his face] And some will betray us.
[Joseph looks directly at the camera, and the man holding it is tackled and dragged in front of him, as the cell phone lies on the floor.]
Jerome: We don't know what he's capable of... Who? Their leader.
Nick: Joseph Seed.
Mary May: They call him "The Father".
Joseph: [on cell phone camera] And those in the outside world are blind. They do not believe. They have no faith. [the man struggles] Shh. But I will make them see...
[Joseph gouges the man's eyes out, then holds out his arms as if in prayer, before the camera shorts out.]

[Final scene following the "resist" ending: The Junior Deputy slowly wakes up in Dutch's bunker following an attempt to take shelter from the nuclear blast. He finds himself handcuffed to the bed.]
Emergency Broadcast System: Attention. Attention. This is the Emergency Broadcast System. Take shelter immediately. Take shelter immediately. This is not a drill. Repeat: this is not a drill.
[The Deputy can make out Joseph facing away from him, as he turns to see Dutch's corpse on the floor next to him.]
Joseph: You know what this means? [turns to face the Deputy] It means the politicians have been silenced. It means the corporations have been erased. It means the world has been cleansed by God's righteous fire. But most of all… [leans in close to the Deputy's face] it means I was right. The Collapse has come. The world as we know it… is over. I waited so long… I waited so long for the prophecy God whispered in my ear to be fulfilled. I prepared my family for this moment… And you took them from me. [his tone becomes more furious] I should kill you for what you've done… [becoming calmer] But you're all I have left now. You're my family. And when the world is ready to be born anew, we will step into the light. I am your Father… And you are my child. And together, we will march to Eden's Gate.
[Joseph leans back in Dutch's chair, creepily staring at the Deputy as tremors from further bomb blasts continue to occur above them.]
