Edward Higgins White
American astronaut (1930-1967)
Edward Higgins White, II (November 14 1930 – January 27 1967) was a NASA astronaut. He became the first American to "walk" in space on June 3, 1965. He died on January 27, 1967 during a pre-flight test of Apollo 1.
