Douglas Lute
United States general
Douglas Lute (born November 3, 1952) is a retired United States Army lieutenant general. He was a senior advisor to the U.S. government during the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He served from 2013 to 2017 as the United States Permanent Representative to NATO.
