Hello, all! How should song lyrics be posted? There are several options: Quote as from a song:

• "Hope I die before I get old"
  My Generation

Quote as by band:

The Who

• "Hope I die before I get old"

Quote as by song writer:

Pete Townshend

• "Hope I die before I get old"

In my opinion: the lyric writer should be credit in any case. composers are preferable to be added. The Band or singer are okay, because many people try to use them as a sorting key, so possibly benefical for readers. But then, the song writer should be remarked. Some songs are featured by several musicians, in that case, the original singer a/o the best known singer would be credited. Just thought. --Aphaia 8 July 2005 03:58 (UTC)
