The Burning Sun Scandal, also known as "Burning Sun gate", is a major sex and prostitution scandal which rocked South Korean politics in 2019. It involved online distribution of sex videos of women taken without their consent to curry political favors. A large number of top celebrities, popstars, politicians and police officials were involved. Unraveling of scam led to celebrities blaming each other for the malaise.
