Kenai: Yeah, I'll probably get like a sabertooth tiger for bravery or strength or greatness. You know, something that fits me.
Denahi: How about a mammoth for your fat head? Just make sure you get that basket tied up.
Kenai: Don't worry. No stupid bear's gonna get anywhere near this fish.
Denahi: Just tie it up.
Kenai: [under his breath] "Just tie it up."
Man: She's back! Hey, everybody! Tanana's back!
Sitka: Come on!
Child: Come on, Kenai, let's go!
Kenai: Come on, come on.
Child: Tanana's got your rock! Come on!
[Kenai quickly ties up the basket and runs off, only for the basket to fall and break]

[After Kenai recieves his totem]
Denahi: There he is.
Kenai: [moans in annoyance] Ohh.
Denahi: Ha ha! Come here, loverboy.
Kenai: Uhh. Leave me alone.
Denahi: Aw, Kenai, wait.
Kenai: Uhh.
Denahi: I'm sorry.
Kenai: What?
Denahi: Your totem: I think it's really great.
Kenai: You do?
Denahi: Yeah. And I made you something.
Kenai: [smiling] Really?
Denahi: [throws flowers on Kenai's head] Now when you skip around loving everybody, you'll smell so sweet.
[Kenai pushes the flowers back to Denahi]
Sitka: Well, isn't this nice? Instead of fighting, you're giving each other flowers.
Denahi: Yeah, isn't it lovely? He's so in touch with his totem already.
Kenai: Uhh!
Sitka: Hey, dog breath, go take care of the fish.
Denahi: Sure. Kenai loves me, he loves me not. Kenai loves me, he loves me not. Kenai loves me, he loves me not. [Kenai picks up a rock and preps to throw it at Denahi]
Sitka: [grabs Kenai's hand before he throws the rock] Kenai.
Kenai: Someday I'm gonna just-- He's just such a--
Sitka: Hey, bonehead. Just because his totem is wisdom doesn't mean he's wise. I mean, look at him.
Denahi: Kenai loves me, he loves me not. Kenai loves me, he loves me not. [accidentally steps on a dog's tail and the dog yelps and barks] Hey! Whoa!
People: Hi, Denahi.
Denahi: Oh, hi. Heh-heh. [the dog growls and bites his butt, offscreen] Aah! [Kenai and Sitka cringe] Let go!
Kenai: Yeah. I guess the spirits messed up on both of our totems.
Sitka: You know, I felt the same way when Tanana gave me mine.
Kenai: Get out of here.
Sitka: No, really. I said, "The Eagle of Guidance? What does that mean?" [chuckles] But now that I'm older, I know it's about being a leader, and keeping an eye on you two.
Kenai: I just want to get my handprint on that wall.
Sitka: Just be patient, Kenai. When you live by your totem, you will.
Kenai: Really?
Sitka: Guarantee it. [he and Kenai high-five]
Kenai: But come on, the Bear of Love? I mean a bear doesn't love anyone they don't think, they don't feel, I mean they're-- [people chatter at the fish trail] They're thieves.
Denahi: You didn't tie it off, did you?
Kenai: Uh-- [chuckles nervously]
Denahi: You should've got the totem of pinheads!
Sitka: Knock it off. We'll just make another basket.
Denahi: We? Oh, no. No. It took me 2 weeks to make that basket. You get lover-boy to do it. [Kenai scowls] He's the one that's messing things up all the time. Typical Kenai.
Kenai: [holding a spear] All right. I'll go get your basket.
Sitka: Kenai, wait. Kenai!
Denahi: [Sitka looks at him angrily] [confused] What?

Kenai: [kicking tree branches out of anger; Kenai hears a growl, and sees a bear. He throws a rock near the bear, catching its attention. He throws another rock at the bear's head]
Sitka: [offscreen] Kenai! [the bear roars angrily] Kenai! Where'd he go?
Denahi: If we're lucky, far away. Huh.
[Kenai screams, as he dangles over the edge of a glacier]
Denahi: Kenai! [he and Sitka run to him]
Kenai: Sitka, no! You got to get out of here!
Sitka: What?
Kenai: The bear! Look behind you! [the bear roars viciously]
Sitka: [alarmed] Aah!
[While the bear roars, Denahi throws a rock at the bear]
Denahi: Hey, bear, come on! [the bear turns to him] Over here! Come on, bear! Come this way!
Kenai: Uhh. [Roaring; Sitka pulls Kenai up, and runs to hold off the bear. The ice fractures, and Denahi falls in.]
Denahi: Aah!
Kenai: [running over] Denahi! Uhh! Hold on! Come on, pull!
Denahi: Uhh!
[The bear knocks Sitka over as he pants. The bear approaches Kenai and Denahi]
Kenai: [struggling to pull Denahi up] Unh!
[Sitka sees the ice begin to crack and stabs the ice with his spear, causing the ice to crack more, and the bear moans in alarm]
Kenai: [alarmed] Sitka. Sitka! [the ice breaks apart and the bear and Sitka fall in the water]
Denahi: Sitka?
[the bear comes out of the water, and walks back to the land. It roars and runs off. Kenai and Denahi jump into the water to search for Sitka]
Kenai: Come on! Sitka!
Denahi: Sitka!
Kenai: Sitka. Sitka!
Denahi: Sitka!
Kenai: Sitka, where are you?!
Denahi: [gasps in alarm] Kenai!
[Kenai finds the hood of Sitka's top floating in the water]
Kenai: [sadly] No. [desperately] Sitka! Sitka! Help us find you! Sitka! Sitka, where are you?! Sitka!

[After Sitka's funeral pyre, Kenai approaches Denahi, wielding two spears]
Kenai: Are you ready?
Denahi: For what?
Kenai: We're going after the bear. [Throws Denahi a spear, and he catches it]
Denahi: [slight pause] I know how you're feeling, but... but killing that bear is wrong. [he drops the spear]
Kenai: [dumbfounded] Wrong? Our brother is dead, and it's because of that monster.
Denahi: I don't blame the bear, Kenai.
[Kenai seems hurt at Denahi's words. Denahi turns away]
Kenai: [scowling] I see.
Denahi: [trying to grab the spear from Kenai] Killing that bear won't make you a man.
Kenai: [getting defensive] Oh, now you're trying to be wise!
Denahi: I'm trying to follow my totem, why can't you do the same?!
Kenai: [stammering] You really think love has anything to do with being a man?! A man wouldn't just sit here and do nothing.

[Denahi sees Kenai's clothes ripped, and he thinks Kenai died]
Denahi: [in thought] I don't blame the bear, Kenai.
[Denahi stands up and walks away.]
Kenai: [in thought] A man wouldn't just sit here and do nothing.

Tuke: What are they getting worked up about?
Rutt: Gee, I don't know. Maybe the goose pooped on 'em, eh?
[Both Moose laughs]
Tuke: [panicking] Oh, gee. I think they're looking over here. Let's beat it. This way. [runs to his left]
Rutt: [panicking] No, no, no, this way. [runs to his right]
[Then both banged and got each other's antlers stuck]
Tuke: Oh, thank you very much.
Rutt: J-Just stay still and--
Kenai: [runs toward them] Hey, you two!
[Both Moose gasps]
Tuke: Head down. Head down!
[Both get their heads down for cover under the tree log]
Rutt: [whispers] Oh, gee! I think they seen us! Now what?
Tuke: [whispers] Act like we're not here.
Rutt: Oh. Ah, we're not here!
Tuke: Shh! [whispers] What are you doing, eh?!
Rutt: [whispers] Will you said to--
Tuke: [whispers] Don't say anything.
Rutt: [still whispers] Okay!
Tuke: [still whispers] I said, "Don't say anything"!
Kenai: Um, excuse me.
[The startled Mooses fell back screaming]
Tuke: Please don't eat us!
Rutt: You wouldn't like us, eh. We're really gamey.
Tuke: Ya... eat hoof-for-brains over there.
Rutt: Oh nice, eh. Pine-cone breath!
Tuke: Crusty tail!
Rutt: Twig legs!
Tuke: Big nose! [Rutt gasps] ... sorry.
Rutt: You went too far that time.
Tuke: Okay, I'm sorry.
Kenai: Guys.
Tuke: Besides, yours is bigger than mine.
Kenai: [move the antlers off the side] I'm not eating anybody.
Tuke: [calmly] Oh, whew! [laughs] That's mighty decent of you, eh.
Rutt: Yeah. Hey, my name's Rutt. This my brother, Tuke.
Tuke: How's it going, bear?
Kenai: [scoffs] Don't call me that.
Tuke: Oh, sorry, [stammers] Mr. Bear?
Kenai: No! I mean, I'm not a bear. I hate bears.
Rutt: Well, gee, eh, you're one big beaver. [laughs]
Tuke: No kidding?
Kenai: [about the spirits] Do either of you know where the lights touch the earth?
Rutt: Yee...ahh... No. Uh, no. Sorry, bear, or beaver.
Kenai: I'm not a beaver. I'm a bear. No, I mean, I'm not a bear. I'm a man!
[Tuke spits out, laughs surprised]
Rutt: Excuse me?
Kenai: I was transformed into a bear, magically. I was lifted into the sky by my brother.
Tuke: Uh-huh. [turns to Rutt, fake cough] You're crazy!
Rutt: Gesundheit.
Tuke: [fake cough] No, a fruitcake!
Rutt: Are you, okay?
Tuke: [fake cough] No, that bear over there! He's crazy!
Kenai: [angrily] I am NOT crazy!
Tuke: Well, who ever said you were? We understand.
Kenai: You do?
Tuke: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well-- Well, you see, we're not moose, either.
Rutt: We're-- We're not?
Tuke: No. Heh. We're like, uh... We're like squirrels. Yeah.
Rutt: Oh. Oh, yeah! Beauty, eh? Well, yeah, well, he... he's actually the squirrel. I'm-- I'm more of a pure-bred wolverine. Look at these cuspids. Rrrr!
Tuke: Give him a little room.
Kenai: [groans] Why am I even talking to a couple of dumb moose?
Tuke: No, we're squirrels, eh?
Rutt: Wolverine.
Kenai: I'll find it myself.
Rutt: Oh, I wouldn't go that way.
Tuke: Why not, eh?
Rutt: Uh, well, there was a reason.
Tuke: Well you brought it up.
Rutt: I'm trying to, but you're talking--
[Kenai shouts is caught in a snare, grunting and the moose watch him bounce around with the rope of the tree]
Tuke: So, you think of it yet? [leaves]
Rutt: Well, uh, no, but it's driving me nuts, too, eh? [leaves]

Koda: [looking at his reflection through ice] Skinny! Fat! Skinny! Fat!
Kenai: Hey, I've got a mountain to get to. Come on, kid.
Koda: I told you before. My name's Koda. Say it with me. Ko-da!
Kenai: Are you sure your mom didn't ditch you, Ko-duh?
Koda: Hmph.

[Koda tries to tell Kenai a story]
Kenai: [interrupting] Oh it sounds great, you should save it!
Koda: You think so?
Kenai: Oh, yeah. For your friends.

Koda: Mom says the spirits make all the magical changes in the world, like how the leaves change color, or how the moon changes shape, or tadpoles change into frogs--
Kenai: Yeah, I get it. You know, for a change, maybe they could just leave things alone.
Koda: What do you mean?
Kenai: My brother's a spirit, and if it wasn't for him, I... I wouldn't be here.
Koda: You have a brother up there? What happened to him?
Kenai: He was killed by a b-- By a monster.
Koda: What's your brother's name?
Kenai: Sitka.
Koda: Thanks, Sitka. If it weren't for you, I would have never met Kenai. I always wanted a brother.

Koda: I'm sorry we're lost, OK? Even though it's pretty much your fault.
Kenai: My fault?! Ugh! That's it.
Koda: Just remember, if it weren't for me, you'd still be hanging upside down right now.
Kenai: Better than being stuck in the middle of nowhere with you and your blabbing mouth. [angrily mocking Koda] "I'm lost. I can't find my mommy. Will you take me to the salmon run?" [angrily yells at Koda] Why don't you just grow up?
Koda: Fine. I'll just go on my own, then.
Kenai: Fine. Go ahead.
Koda: Fine.
Kenai: Fine.
Koda: Fine.

Ram 1: It's go time! [locks horns with the other ram]
Ram 2: You wanna go?!
Ram 1: Yeah.
Ram 2: Well, bring it on!
Ram 1: Horns up!
Ram 2: [sees Kenai and Koda] Whoa, whoa, hold up.
Kenai: Excuse me!
Ram 2: What do you want?! [echoes] What was that? Who was that?
Ram 1: Uh, just a minute, bear. [to the sky] HEY, SHUT UP! [echoes] NO, YOU SHUT UP! [echoes]
Ram 2: [to the sky] No, you shut up! [echoes]
Ram 1: HEY, WILL YOU SHUT UP?! [echoes] JUST SHUT UP!!! [echoes]
Koda: Heh. I think their horns are screwed on too tight. [he and Kenai laugh]

Kenai: Koda, there's...something I ought to-- You know that story you told me last night?
Koda: Yeah.
Kenai: Well, I have a story to tell you.
Koda: Really? What's it about?
Kenai: Well, it's kind of about a man and kind of about a bear. But mostly, it's about a monster. A monster who did something very bad...
Phil Collins: [singing] Everywhere I turn, I hurt someone. But there's nothing I can say to change the things I've done. I'd do anything within my power, I'd give everything I've got. But the path I seek is hidden from me now.
Kenai: [on the verge of tears] Koda? I’ve done something very wrong.
Phil Collins: [singing] Brother bear, I’ve let you down.
Koda: [sounding scared] I don’t like this story.
Phil Collins: [singing] You trusted me, believed in me, and I let you down.
Kenai: [sadly and quietly] Your mother’s not coming.
[Koda looks down and up with tears in his eyes]
Koda: [crying] No... no!! [starts to run off in the snow]

Koda: Ahem. In accordance with all federal and state wildlife regulations, no fish were harmed during the making of this film.
Fish: [screams in fear while being chased by a bear] No! He's gonna eat me! [screams]
Koda: [chuckles] Cut. Cut.
Fish: Somebody help me!
Koda: Ooh! [bear belches]
