Benny Hill
British comedian and actor (1924–1992)
Alfred Hawthorne "Benny" Hill (21 January 1924 – 20 April 1992) was an English comedian, actor, singer and writer, best remembered for The Benny Hill Show, a television which began on BBC in 1955, and continued on ITV for 20 years beginning in 1969. The ITV version mixed slapstick, burlesque and double entendres in a format that included live comedy and filmed inserts, with Hill at the focus of almost every segment.
