edit- Deputy Siobhan Kelly: What are you thinking about?
- Lucas Hood: I don't know. I was thinking about something someone said to me the other day. [Pause] I mean you get used to a certain way of being and uh... Do you think we are who we are or do you think we can change?
- Deputy Siobhan Kelly: What you mean people like you?
- Lucas Hood: Me, you, people in general.
- Deputy Siobhan Kelly: I don't know if anyone ever changes really but we can evolve, right. I mean that's what we're trying to do isn't it, just become better versions of ourselves.
- Lucas Hood: [Pause] So you think we evolve.
- Deputy Siobhan Kelly: I'm counting on it.
- Kai Proctor: [To Rebecca after having her boyfriend strangled in front of her while they were making love] You're either with me or you're not. Do you understand?
- Lucas Hood: Hey, Job. How was New York?
- Job: I see you got your ass kicked again while I was gone. It's starting to be a thing.
- Lucas Hood: Every man needs a hobby.
- Job: Do I even want to know?
- Lucas Hood: Probably not. How'd it go?
- Job: How'd it go?
- Lucas Hood: You couldn't get rid of them?
- Job: There was a wrinkle. I should have found out everything there was to know about those diamonds before you went in. Where they came from. Rabbit fucked you. He fucked you hard. You served 15 years for stealing a handful of glass.

edit- Foul Mouthed Stripper: Did you see somebody pay me to stick his dick in my ass? No!
- Deputy Brock Lotus: No, thank god.
- Foul Mouthed Stripper: So what do I know about a fucking prostitution ring?
- Deputy Brock Lotus: Alright so let me just confirm your name is Platinum.
- Foul Mouthed Stripper: Platinumm two m's. Platinumm.
- Deputy Brock Lotus: Platinumm.
- Foul Mouthed Stripper: Like mm she look good.
- Lucas Hood: Okay. So, what do you got? [Opens door and closes it]
- Stripper: So... I see him three to four times a week.
- Lucas Hood: He pays you?
- Stripper: Mm-hmm, but he calls them gifts.
- Lucas Hood: And what would he do if you said no?
- Stripper: He'd get me fired from the club and I need the money.
- Lucas Hood: So, what do you want to tell me?
- Stripper: If I gave you something on Proctor, would you put him away? Could you even put him away?
- Lucas Hood: Depends what it is.
- Stripper: Would I have to testify?
- Lucas Hood: Depends what it is.
- Stripper: Well, I won't testify, and you have to promise me...
- Lucas Hood: I can't promise you anything until I know what you've got.
- Stripper: And he can't know it's me.
- Lucas Hood: Listen, I got a jail full of whοres I can do this with.
- Stripper: And I have a... I have a son. fսck.
- Lucas Hood: Listen, if what you've got is big enough to put Proctor away, I'll do everything I can to keep you out of it. That's as close to a promise as you're gonna get right now. No?
- Stripper: There was this guy I used to see. [sniffles] A client. He used to drive trucks for Proctor, running X into Philly.
- Lucas Hood: Ecstasy?
- Stripper: He said Proctor has this place where they do it all... cook it, pack it, and ship it off.
- Lucas Hood: You know his name?
- Stripper: Matt Sharp.
- Lucas Hood: Where do I find him?
- Deputy Brock: Hey. I'm looking for Matt Sharp.
- Matt Sharp: I'm Sharp.
- Deputy Brock: [Laughs] Irony. Nice. I need to talk to you for a minute.
- Matt Sharp: I'm on the clock, Sheriff. I don't know if you heard, but the market's down, unemployment's at 9%. You wouldn't want to keep an honest man from making a buck, would ya? An honest man, no.
- Lucas Hood: You? Eh, I could give a shit.
- Deputy Brock: Listen, guys, we just got a couple of questions for you. You're gonna want to put that down.
- Matt Sharp: Are you one of those affirmative action hires? Hey. How do you like sitting in the front seat versus the back?
- Deputy Emmett: Not as good as it'll feel when I put my boot up your ass and out your mouth.
- Matt Sharp: Whoa. Hey, we're just messing around. We didn't mean nothing by it. Yeah, spic, slope, coon, kike, fɑggоt. Soon as you put the uniform on, we dislike you all the same. Yo, I recognize this dude. You're that football player, right?
- Deputy Emmett: Real big deal in college. Running back.
- Man: Yeah, what happened? Did you quit? Or did somebody figure out that a nigger running like he stole something ain't nothing new? [Laughs]
- Deputy Brock: Emmett, be cool, all right? Emmett?
- Deputy Emmett: I'm cool.
- Deputy Brock: All right.
- Lucas Hood: Don't hold back on my account.
- Deputy Emmett: A verbal taunt does not fulfill the protocol for self-defense, Sheriff, only a life-threatening act. And these little men aren't what I'd consider to be threatening.
- Man: [Throws cigarette in Emmett's face] Fսck you, O.J. I do believe I now feel threatened.
- Lucas Hood: I would. [White supremacist punches Emmett in the face, merely turning his face and gets himself punched in the face] [To Matt Sharp attempting to flee] Hey, hey, hey, hey! Don't you fսcking move! [Brock is on the ground with a man on top of him holding off a pipe] You okay, Brock?!
- Deputy Brock: No!
- Lucas Hood: Emmett, you need a hand?! [Matt takes off] Oh, fսck! Emmett! You all right?! Yeah?! [Takes after Matt through the junkyard and catches up with him pointing a gun at Matt's head] Slow down, Sharp.!
- Matt Sharp: What do you want, cop?
- Lucas Hood: You're gonna tell me about Proctor's ecstasy operation.
- Matt Sharp: [Leans towards the gun making contact with forehead] I don't know what the fսck you're talking about!
- Lucas Hood: Okay. [Kicks Matt in the crotch] Let me get you started. You were a driver. You did runs from Banshee... to Philly.
- Matt Sharp: Who told you that?!
- Lucas Hood: Well, that's none of your business!
- Matt Sharp: [Laughs] You think I'm gonna roll on someone like Proctor 'cause of you? Ah! Go ahead, arrest me. At least in jail I got my health.
- Lucas Hood: Yeah, but right now... [Gets Matt in an armlock in sing-song] I got your arm.
- Matt Sharp: Stop!
- Lucas Hood: So tell me how it works.
- Matt Sharp: Fսck you!
- Lucas Hood: Okay!

edit- Lucas Hood: I don't think he did lose it. I think he made a conscious choice. They hurt his family, he needed to make 'em pay.
- Deputy Siobhan Kelly: We would have made them pay.
- Lucas Hood: Yeah, but he needed it to come from him. Think of it like you and Breece. Look, there is a point at which any one of us will do exactly what Emmett did. It's just a question of what puts us in that situation where the circumstances outweigh the consequences. We go to the station every day and we're supposed to be dealing in justice, but all we're really doing is enforcing a set of rules. But justice, real justice, is personal. Sometimes the only way to get it is with your own two hands.

edit- Mr. Rabbit: [with Carrie and Lucas holding him at gunpoint] There's a part of you that always knows it will end like this. Bullets and tears. Yet you keep telling yourself you will find a way out. But there is no way out, because of who you are.
- Sugar Bates: Where would we be without women to fuck us up.
