Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan(Japanese: 進撃の巨人 Hepburn: Shingeki no Kyojin, lit. "Advancing Giant") is a Japanese manga series both written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama. The series first began in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on September 9, 2009, and it has been collected into 28 tankōbon volumes as of April 2019. It is set in a world where humanity lives in cities surrounded by enormous walls that protect the humans from gigantic man-eating humanoids referred to as titans.
The series is divided into nine story arcs:
Fall of Shiganshina (chapters 1-2, episodes 1-2)Edit
Armin: On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the titans, and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls.
Battle of Trost District (chapters 3-14, episodes 5-13)Edit
104th Training Corps (chapters 3, 15-18, episodes 3-4)Edit
Female Titan (chapters 19-34, episodes 14-25)Edit
Erwin: Who’s the real enemy here?
Erwin: Sorry, that was a strange thing to ask.
Clash of the Titans (chapters 35-50, episodes 26-37)Edit
Reiner: It's too late now...I don't know what's right anymore. But the only choice for me now is to face the consequences of my actions...and as a Warrior fulfill my duty to the bitter end!
The Uprising (chapters 51-70, episodes 38-49)Edit
Levi: I want to put an end to that recurring nightmare, right now. There are those who would get in my way. But I'm fine playing the role of the lunatic who kills people like that. I have to be ready to rearrange some faces. Because I choose the hell of humans killing each other over the hell of being eaten.
Return to Shiganshina (chapters 71-90, episodes 50-59)Edit
Erwin: It's us who give meaning to our comrade's lives! The brave fallen! The anguished fallen! The ones who will remember them... are us, the living! We die, trusting the living who follow to find the meaning in our lives! That is the sole meaning in which we can rebel against this cruel world! My soldiers, rage! My soldiers, scream! My soldiers, fight!
Levi, to Zeke: Wait...I made a promise to him...that I'd kill you no matter what. I promised!
Marley (chapters 91-106, episodes 60-68)Edit
Falco: Hey, you... It’s dangerous here. Go, fly... somewhere... far away.
War for Paradis (chapters 107-139, episodes 69-)Edit
Eren: Hear me, all Subjects of Ymir. My name is Eren Yeager. I now speak to all Subjects of Ymir by way of the Founding Titan's power. Every wall on the island of Paradis has been undone. All of the Titans buried within them have begun their march. My goal...is to protect the people of Paradis, the land where I was born and raised. But the world desires the extinction of the people of Paradis. Over countless years, the world's hatred has grown beyond even the bounds of this island. The people of the world surely will not stop until they have killed every last Subject of Ymir. I reject those wishes. The Titans of the Walls will thunder across the world, to every land beyond this island. Their rumbling feet will snuff out every life in those lands.
Eren: When I learned that humanity lived beyond the Walls... I... was so disappointed. I... wished for it... I wanted to wipe it all away. I'm sorry... I'm sorry... I'm sorry...
