Anoushka Shankar born 1981-06-09 is a British-American sitar player and musician, as well as occasional writer and actor. She performs across multiple genres and styles—classical and contemporary, acoustic and electronic Anoushka Shankar is a masterful sitar player, film composer and activist. Her music is genre-defying, combining classical with contemporary and acoustic with electronic.
