Dialogue edit

Star: Come on inside honey.
Young Annabelle: But I wanna go with them! I want to fly too!
Star: Well, you'll have to ask Santa about that.
Young Annabelle: Is he coming back?
Star: Yes - next year.
Young Annabelle: Good, then I'll wait right here! [she sits down in the snow]
Ears: Er, you know, a year, is a very, very long time, young lady. Maybe - you'd better wait inside the barn. At least that's my opinion.

Aunt Agnes: [after Billy and Annabelle meets for the first time outside and begin to play, Agnes joins Grandpa's side] You gave him a cow for Christmas?
Grandpa Baker: No, it was Santa Claus.
Aunt Agnes: You're teaching the boy to believe in that fantasy?
Grandpa Baker: Ain't nothin' wrong with a little believin', after what he's been through.
Aunt Agnes: Exactly! This dreadful farm is a constant reminder of that horrible fire. This farm just isn't safe, let alone for a boy who can't talk!
Grandpa Baker: Oh, Agnes.

[The Holder Brothers are bullying Billy, again]
Buster: How come you only hang around with girls?
Bucky: And cows?
[He pushes Billy, making him fall on the snow]
Bucky: Huh, Billy? How come?
Emily: [angry] Why don't you leave him alone?
Bucky: Why don't youy let Billy stick up for himself? Oh, I forgot: he can't talk.
Emily: You're just jealous 'cause YOU don't have any friends!
Bucky: [pushing her as well] Stay out of this, Emily!
[As she glares at them, they began to laugh. Annabelle, fed up with the teasing, charges at them and hits them square in their stomachs, making them fall down with a loud SPLAT]
Adult Billy: [as the Narrator, talking about Annabelle, Billy and Emily] Talkin' just wasn't required for the kind of friendship they had.
