After Life (2019-2022) is a British black comedy web television series created, executive produced, directed by and starring Ricky Gervais.

Tony: Do you get any fibre in your diet?

Lenny: Yeah, loads.

Tony: What fruit and veg?

Sandy: Meant to have five a day.

Tony: How many portions of fruit and veg do you have a day?

Lenny: Ten.

Tony: Potatoes don't count.

Lenny: None, then.

Episode 3

Brian: What do you get if you cross a disabled octopus with my ex-wife?

Brian: A five-legged slut.

Episode 5

Anne: Happiness is amazing. It's so amazing, it doesn't matter if it's yours or not. There's that lovely thing: "A society grows great when old men plant trees, the shade of which they know they will never sit in." Good people do things for other people. That's it. The end.

Episode 6

Anne: I had the most wonderful life with Stan. And I have all those memories. That's what we are anyway, really, memories. And Stan had a wonderful life, too... and he's not in any pain. Doesn't even know it's over. I do. But I'd rather live missing him than for him to live missing me. That's how much I love him. I wouldn't change anything. If I went back and changed one thing I didn't take, I might lose something that that bad thing eventually took me to. You shouldn't regret anything or think: "Well, if I went back, I might do this or I might do that."

Tony: I think life is precious 'cause you can't watch it again. I mean, you can believe in an afterlife if that makes you feel better. Doesn't mean it's true. But once you realize you're not gonna be around forever, I think that's what makes life so magical. One day you'll... eat your last meal, smell your last flower, hug your friend for the very last time. You might not know it's the last time. So that's why you should do everything you love with passion, you know? Treasure the few years you've got because... that's all there is.

Tony: [to Matt Braden] You can't change the world, but you can change yourself.

Tony: [to Emma] There's hope. Hope is everything.

Season 2

Tony: [to Matt Braden] ...it is everything. Being in love, I mean. You just don't need anything else. You realise that even more when they're not around.

Tony: Remember, there are no bad dogs, just bad owners. If you treat a dog bad and show'em no love, that's what they act like. If you show'em kindness and hope, they're fine. It's the same with people.
