Clean up all-caps and repeated exclamation marks

This page has many cases of all-caps words and repeated exclamation marks. This is not an appropriate way to indicate emphasis. I will perform the clean-up myself if I find the time/patience. DpEpsilon (talk) 04:41, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

Recent reversions

I agree that the quotes added by DanielTom should remain. WQ is about collecting notable quotes (whether or not they are pleasant or mocking, or whatever). Whether or not a reader agrees with the quotes is not a criteria for inclusion. As long as such quotes are properly sourced (which these are), they should remain. ~ UDScott (talk) 22:11, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Spannerjam, I'm not actually sure why you removed most of the quotes. For example, his Justin Bieber quote—do you feel it is "mocking" Justin, or Alex Jones? Note that these rants are published in his own websites and Youtube channels. They do not misrepresent his views, they really are what he believes (even if you disagree with him); and for example in the Justin Bieber quote I agree with what he says. You need to provide a better rationale if you want to remove these sourced quotes. ~ DanielTom (talk) 22:12, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

I don't know what Wikiquote is about. But I think Wikiquote not is about spreading funny YouTube links. --Spannerjam (talk) 23:03, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

"Funny" is open to interpretation. Alex Jones is serious in all these videos. That they are funny to you, or that they can be found on Youtube, is merely accidental. Of course I could just write in the source "The Alex Jones Show" + date, without linking to the videos, but since he himself uploads the show's clips to Youtube, I don't see why I shouldn't link to them. I considered linking only to his website, but then changed that because it's more interesting to hear him say (shout) the quotes. [1] (For example, the "Justin Bieber rant" video, which was uploaded by his official account, has over 300 000 views on Youtube for this reason.) ~ DanielTom (talk) 23:12, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
