Categorization of Husbandry under Category:Management edit

When 4 out 5 dictionaries mention Husbandry as specific type of management, it should be evident that husbandry is listed under the Category:Management, yet this is removed see here. -- Mdd (talk) 19:46, 20 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

... mentioned as a second or third meaning, or as an obsolete one! Note that the introduction to the article (current revision refers to two distinctly different meanings of the word. I don't think conflating homonyms with different meanings makes a very coherent subject for a theme article. It might be better to fork two different articles for the two different topics.

Also, the main reason I changed the category from Management to Occupations is because a great many professions entail management of their means or objects; and I thought it very peculiar to single this one out on the basis of a linguistic happenstance.

(I just happened to make this change while visiting the article for another change of category. This is not the only member of Category:Management that troubles me. E.g., I am not sure whether Marketing was placed in this category because it is an activity that needs to be managed, or because it entails managing public perceptions, or because "Management Trainee" is a euphemistic job title used in help wanted ads for salespeople; but I am pretty sure none of these is an appropriate reason for listing it in this category.) ~ Ningauble (talk) 21:49, 20 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

It is indeed possible to create a separate farm management article, and move part of the quotes their. Furthermore. I also agree that some of the articles in the Category:Management are better suited for the Category:Business, and are moved their, which by the way proves its usefulness. -- Mdd (talk) 00:32, 21 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
