edit- You remain turned away
Turning further every day
- You take your car to work, I’ll take my board
And when you’re out of fuel, I’m still afloat.
- You can’t resist her, she’s in your bones [...]
And so it seems, only in dreams
- What’s with these homies dissin’ my girl?
Why do they gotta front?
- When we couldn’t find sleep, things were better then
- “My Name is Jonas” (Weezer, 1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [5]
- Ooh-wee-hoo, I look just like Buddy Holly
- "Buddy Holly," Weezer (1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [6]
- The workers are going home
- Goddamn, you half-Japanese girls do it to me every time
- "El Scorcho," Pinkerton (1996) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [8]
- I’m dumb, she’s a lesbian
I thought I had found the one
We were good as married in my mind
But married in my mind’s no good.- “Pink Triangle” Pinkerton (1996) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [9]
- I’m shaking at your touch, I like you way too much
- I did what my body told me to
I didn't mean to do you harm
- Everyone’s a little queer
Why can’t she be a little straight?- “Pink Triangle,” Pinkerton (1996) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [12]
- Goddamn, this business is really lame
- Tonight, I’m down on my knees
Tonight, I’m begging you please
Tonight, tonight, please
Oh, why can’t I be makin’ love come true?
- How stupid is it?
I can’t talk about it
I gotta sing about it
And make a record of my heart
