Song lyrics

edit
  • You remain turned away
    Turning further every day
    • “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here” (Weezer, 1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [1]
  • You take your car to work, I’ll take my board
And when you’re out of fuel, I’m still afloat.
    • “Surf Wax America” Weezer, (1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [2]
  • You can’t resist her, she’s in your bones [...]
And so it seems, only in dreams
    • “Only in Dreams” Weezer (1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [3]
  • What’s with these homies dissin’ my girl?
    Why do they gotta front?
    • “Buddy Holly” (Weezer, 1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [4]
  • When we couldn’t find sleep, things were better then
  • Ooh-wee-hoo, I look just like Buddy Holly
  • The workers are going home
    • “My Name is Jonas,” Weezer (1994) as quoted by Matt Mitchell of Paste [7]
  • I’m dumb, she’s a lesbian
I thought I had found the one
We were good as married in my mind
But married in my mind’s no good.
  • I’m shaking at your touch, I like you way too much
  • I did what my body told me to
I didn't mean to do you harm
  • Goddamn, this business is really lame
  • Tonight, I’m down on my knees
    Tonight, I’m begging you please
    Tonight, tonight, please
Oh, why can’t I be makin’ love come true?
  • How stupid is it?
    I can’t talk about it
    I gotta sing about it
And make a record of my heart
  • What could you possibly see in little ol’ three-chord me?
