Martian Successor Nadesico or Mobile Battleship Nadesico (機動戦艦ナデシコ, or Kidō Senkan Nadeshiko) is a science fiction comedy anime TV series. Taking place in the year 2196, it follows the adventures of the mostly-female crew of the spaceship Nadesico as they defend Earth and Mars against attacks from Jupiter — when they're not watching anime themselves or romantically pursuing their mysterious pilot Akito.
