    • Note: After threatening to destroy the perfected Extremis formula, Killian shoots Maya in the heart without a second thought when he refuses to spare Tony's life. In the extended version, Maya survives long enough to give Tony the instructions to destroy Extremis.
  • (Iron Man: "The President. Now!") He's not here. Try the jet stream. Speaking of which, go fish.

    • Note: Said to Rocket Raccoon while seemingly sacrificing himself to save the rest of the team by enveloping them in a wooden ball grown from himself as Ronan's ship crashes. At the film's conclusion, Rocket has recovered a twig from Groot, which is shown to be re-growing into Baby Groot; however, it has been confirmed by the director that this is a new Groot, and the original Groot is indeed dead.
  • You're a mortal! How?! (Star-Lord: "You said it yourself, bitch. We're the Guardians of the Galaxy.")

    • Note: After Rocket and Drax destroy his warhammer, releasing the Power Stone from it, Quill quickly catches the Stone, and, with Gamora, Drax, and Rocket sharing the burden of the Stone's power, a stunned Ronan says these words before Quill directs its energy at Ronan, killing him.

    • Note: In the final battle against Ultron aboard a chunk of Sokovia, Ultron controls a Quinjet to shoot down Hawkeye as he attempts to save a young boy left in the rubble of a wrecked building. However, Quicksilver runs in front to protect them both, taking the brunt of the bullets before saying this to Hawkeye as he dies.

    • Note: After all of his sentries are destroyed by the Avengers, Ultron, in his last remaining body, says this to Vision, who vaporizes him.

  • You know he knew. Your pal, your buddy, your Bucky. (Captain America: "What did you say?") He remembered you. I was there. He got all weepy about it, 'til they put his brain back in a blender. He wanted you to know something. He said to me, "Please tell Rogers, when you gotta go, you gotta go." And you're coming with me.

    • Note: Telling Captain America of a conversation he supposedly had with Bucky, before blowing himself up in an attempt to kill Cap; Scarlet Witch uses her powers to send him away from the heroes, but accidentally ends up sending him into a nearby crowded building, which kills several Wakandan relief workers.
  • When stolen Wakandan vibranium was used to make a terrible weapon, we in Wakanda were forced to question our legacy. Those men and women killed in Nigeria were part of a goodwill mission from a country too long in the shadows. We will not, however, let misfortune drive us back. We will fight to improve the world we wish to join. I am grateful to the Avengers for supporting this initiative. Wakanda is proud to extend its hand in peace.

    • Note: After his body wracked by the explosion, Taserface crawls over to a monitor and calls the Sovereign, telling them the coordinates to Yondu and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Taserface dies when an explosion breaks out, and destroys the lower half of the Eclector. Of note, the Sovereign operator who receives his call starts laughing uproariously upon hearing his name, which Taserface witnesses as he dies.
  • Listen to me! You are a God! If you kill me, you'll be just like everybody else! (Star-Lord: "What's so wrong with that?") No!

    • Note: Saying these words to his son, Peter Quill, who had turned against him for being responsible for his mother's death. Quill used his Celestial powers to fight Ego while the rest of the Guardians killed him by planting a bomb on his brain, in the center of the planet.

    • Note: After the Guardians manage to defeat and destroy Ego, Yondu says these words to Quill, whom he escorts away from the destruction of Ego and dies in the vacuum of space.

After Iron Man saves Spider-Man from Vulture, Brice is fired for jeopardizing the mission. He then says these last words before being accidentally killed when Vulture mistakes a laser gun with an anti-gravity gun.

    • Note: After Loki banishes Odin on Earth, he becomes close to death. When he dies, his oldest child, Hela, will be freed from prison. After telling his two sons this, he dissolves into glowering showers of energy. In the original scene, set in a New York alleyway, Odin is slain by Hela herself after he loses the energy to contain her in Hel.

    • Note: When Hela begins to attack Asgard after entering the Bifrost, Volstagg stands in her way, with Fandral, and is stabbed twice before dying.

    • Note: While attempting to fight off Hela, he says these words before being run through with a spear.

    • Note: After working as Hela's executioner, Skurge realized the error of his ways, and redeemed himself by fighting off Hela's minions. However, Hela impales him as he storms up the Bifrost.
  • Whatever game you're playing, it won't work. You can't defeat me. (Thor: "No, I know. But he can.") No!

    • Note: Hela says this upon seeing Surtur being unleashed, and Thor and Valkyrie send her through a chasm in the Bifrost; During Surtur's destruction of Asgard, he is met with Hela's resistance before he crushes her with his sword.

    • Note: Saying these words as he plunges his sword deep into Asgard and kills Hela, annihilating all of Asgard and himself along with it in the process.

You can scar yourself as much as you like. To them, you'll just be an outsider. You're crazy to think that you can walk in there.     • Note: Heimdall summoned the Bifrost with his last shred of Dark Magic to send Hulk to Earth. Shortly after, Heimdall was impaled by Thanos with Corvus Glaive's weapon.

    • Note: After failing a desperate trick to destroy Thanos by stabbing him, Loki is strangled to death by Thanos.

    • Note: While torturing Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Spider Man use the plan from Aliens that killed the Xenomorph by blasting a hole through the wall of the spaceship, sending Maw flying through space to die.
  • Really? Tears? (Red Skull: "They are not for him.") No! This isn't love! (Thanos: "I ignored my destiny once. I cannot do that again. Even for you. I'm sorry, little one.") No!

    • Note: For Thanos to get the Soul Stone, he must sacrifice someone he loves. He throws Gamora down the abyss to get the Stone.
  • Barely begun, brother.

    • Note: In Avengers: Endgame, Shuri is confirmed to be among the victims of the Snap. Later in the film, Professor Hulk is able to bring Shuri back with the Nano Gauntlet.

    • Note: Falcon witnesses Vision fighting off Corvus Glaive. He later crumbles to ash when Thanos snaps his fingers, and is missed by War Machine. During Avengers: Endgame, Professor Hulk is able to bring Falcon back with the Nano Gauntlet.

    • Note: Midnight pins down Scarlet Witch, about to kill her, but is dueled by Black Widow and Okoye. She is launched into the air by Wanda's telekinetic powers and sliced in half by one of the Threshers.

    • Note: While dueling Captain America, and overpowering him, Corvus Glaive is stabbed through the chest by Vision with his own glaive.

    • Note: Spoken to Scarlet Witch, after he begs her to destroy the Mind Stone that powers him to prevent Thanos from claiming it and thus completing the Infinity Gauntlet. She tearfully agrees, but Thanos uses the Time Stone to revive Vision and then kill him again to obtain the stone.
  • (Thanos: "I understand, my child. Better than anyone.") You could never. (Thanos: "Today, I lost more than you can know. But now is no time to mourn. Now... is no time at all.") No!

    • Note: After Thanos snaps his fingers, Bucky walks to Steve as his hand turns to ash. As Steve runs to him, his whole body crumbles. During Avengers: Endgame, Professor Hulk is able to bring Bucky back with the Nano Gauntlet.

    • Note: Black Panther reaches his hand out for his general, Okoye, but turns to ash when she takes his hand. During Avengers: Endgame, Professor Hulk is able to bring Black Panther back with the Nano Gauntlet.

    • Note: When Thanos snaps his fingers, Groot begins to crumble to ash. Rocket tearfully asks him not to go, but he fades away. During Avengers: Endgame, Professor Hulk is able to bring Groot back with the Nano Gauntlet.

    • Note: When she and Nick Fury witness people being taken by Thanos' snap, she crumbles to ash in front of Nick Fury. During Avengers: Endgame, Professor Hulk is able to bring Hill back with the Nano Gauntlet.
