Summary
| Description | After giving me the explanation about the Maroons being camera shy, my guide said "This is a nice scene." I said: "Yeah, it will be a great memory". "Give me your camera." I hesitated and handed it over, and he snapped these this and the following photo. Don't put them into any anthropological guides. These people choose to live this way and seem very happy. They have adopted electricity and modern medicine; some of the homes are modern, but the community seems to have remained in touch with its traditions. I fully respect them and their choices. |
