Summary

Description
English: Press photograph in Transylvania's Cosânzeana review. Original caption: "The trial in Athens: The main witness for the prosecution: Colonel Passaris, former sub-chief for the General Staff, making his confession." This refers to the 1922 Trial of the Six (Díki ton Éxi), whereby the Plastiras junta and the Venizelists prosecuted former Greek Prime Minister Dimitrios Gounaris, accusing him and his team of having engineered the country's defeat in the previous war on Turkey. The scene takes place in the Greek Parliament hall, converted into a "revolutionary court" for the occasion.
