Vertaling: Daar waar men boeken verbrandt, verbrandt men ook uiteindelijk mensen. Ter herinnering aan de boekverbranding door de Nationaal-Socialisten op 14 mei 1933.
English: Remembrance plaque on the Marktplatz in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, reading:

"Dort, wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen. Henrich Heine, 1820. Zur Erinnerung an die Bücherverbennung durch die Nationalsocialisten am 14. Mai 1933.

Translation: Where they have burned books, they will end in burning human beings. In memory of the book burning by the National Socialists on May 14, 1933.
