3335. Group of Aphrodite, Pan and Eros. Parian marble. Found in the 'House of the Poseidoniastai of Beryttos' (Beirut), Dolus. Traces of colour can be made out in many places. The nude goddess Aphrodite attempts to fend off the goat-footed god Pan who makes erotic advances to her. She holds her sandal threateningly in her right hand, while the winged god Eros comes to her aid. According to the inscription on the base, the group was dedicated by Dionysios of Beryttos to his ancestral gods. About 100 BC. National Archaeological Museum, Athens, Greece. --- 3330. Σύμπλεγμα Αφροδίτης, Πάνος και Έρωια. Μάρμαρο παριανό. Βρέθηκε στην "Οικία των Ποσειδωνιαστών της Βηρυτού" σιη Δήλο. Σε πολλά σημεία διακρίνονται χρώματα. Γυμνή η θεά Αφροδίτη προσπαθεί να απομακρύνει τον τραγοπόδαρο Πάνα που της επιτίθεται ερωτικά. Στο δεξί χέρι κρατεί απειλητικά το σανδάλι της, ενώ σε βοήθεια της σπεύδει ο φτερωτός θεός Έρωτας. Το σύμπλεγμα σώζεται με την ενεπίγραφη βάση του, όπου αναφέρεται άτι πρόκειται για αφιέρωμα του Διονυσίου από τη Βηρυτό στους θεούς της πατρίδας του. Γύρω στο 100 π.Χ.
